UPDATED: OCT 20, 2012 Clean brown bodied with small yet stable beige head. Quite grainy, some roasted nuts and dry. Taste is medium sweet, especially noticeable in the ending, and has some herbal bitterness in the beginning. Some sour note as well, nt sure if that?s supposed to be there. Feel mass produced. No really not very rich or flavourful. Cheap grainy feel to this one. Disappointing. (22cl bottle from De Bierwinkel Leiden) Medium brown, murky body and active tan lace. Boy this is sweet. Caramel candy, cheap grains, some spice, some bread but mostly brown sugar. Taste is equally sweet, although it has some burned notes. No, not great this Belgian bock. (On tap at Utrechts Bokbierfestival)

Nice banana-ey aroma. Sweetish and bready. Perhaps too sweet. Full palate, maybe a litttle sticky. Sweet malty finish.

Tap at Lemmys, Leiden. Poured a clear reddish brown with a frothy white head and lots of clingy lace. The aroma is sweet malt. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich malty, yeast, light aniseed, rich red berry fruit, palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draught @ Beer Museum, Brugge. Clear reddy-brown with a small carbonation and a small off-white head. Has pale malts that include some grainy sweetness in both its aroma and taste.

Redbrown beer with a nice head and medium carbonation. caramel, malts and herbs are the tastes in this beer, but to little character for a nice bok. It feels like the brewer was TRYING to make a bok in stead of making a bok. Too bad.

This beer smells gross, almost puke-levels gross. The taste is good, sweet and fruity.
