750ml bottle. On sale for $5.99...but also best but the 25th of May, 2012, so it’s at least 2 years old. Tastes that way too. The aroma has really faded, picking up some garbage tones, spices. Still looks nice, fluffy white head. Decent champagne/ Belgian carbonation. Tastes really dingy and grainy for a Belgian beer. Not a fair rating for the new product. Don’t let this one age in your cellars. A touch boozy for the lowish ABV. It grew on me a little, but I wouldn’t want another bottle. Old school Belgian tastes.

bonkiedeaap (280) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 17, 2014
Bottle from a liqor store in Leerdam. The beer has a golden/blonde color and a nice white head, CO2 level is good. The aroma is spicy with tones of yeast and caramel and is light fruity. The taste is a little sweet and fruity and has a subtle bitterness, and is a little watery. The finish is short and light bitter. Not a special one, but is fine to drink once.

330ml bottle from Carrefour Brugge - A rich yellow body with a bright white head. Nose has peppery lemony hop notes and yeasty flavours. Slightly spicy with some banana and coriander notes. Nothing overly special.

(Keg at Belge, 20131229) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness, grass and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, Belgian style yeast, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Afteraste was fruity and bitter. A not so bad but still harsh Belgian beer.

0,33l fles thuis. Amber kleurig bier dat een beetje mistig is met een witte kraag die snel slinkt. Geur is alcoholisch met graan. Smaak is zoet met een beetje hop. Mondgevoel is dun en trekkend. Geen topper.

Tap at Luxor, Leiden. Poured crystal clear light amber with a long lasting frothy white head and lots of broken lace. The aroma is big yeast with a little malt. The flavour is medium bitter with a watery malt hop liqourice palate. Drinkable but it’s living on borrowed time.

Lukt: Belgisk gjær, litt banan godteri, og kanskje bittelitt sitrus. Smak: litt karamell, sødme, korn Blir kanskje litt for kraftig og søt til blond å være ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
