Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Nice Belgian character - toffee, candi sugar, yeast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lingering toffee and brown bread. Nicely made cask Belgian beer.

Penderels Oak, Holborn 1 Nov 12. JDW Festivaløl. Mørkebrun. Lavt, litt farget skum som varer litt. Lite aroma. Myk munnfølelse. Tynn på smak & innhold. Et sjeldent eksempel på at flaskeutgaven var signifikant bedre.

Cask at The Penderels Oak, half-pint shared with Finn. Deep, dark brown coloured body, a few spots to the glassware. Mild aroma of earthy malts and almond. Taste of cocoa powder, herbal hops and nuts. The ending is sweet and very dry. Average (JDWs real-ale festival, London 01.11.2012).

DruncanVeasey (6114) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2012
The Baron. Still, pale chestnut capped with off-white. Pleasant soft oak barrel, cherry Tunes aroma; something a little ganja-like. Creamy, mellow oak taste with a subtle breadiness; chestnut, banana, cherry Tunes, chocolate coated raisin, plum, praline. Deeply subtle. And pleasant; could happily sink a few pints of this. The ONLY successful cask translation of a Belgian I’ve encountered in any of the Spoons fests.
