Bov (4623), Bienne, Switzerland Jun 17, 2002 Updated: Aug 18, 2005 slightly hazy dark brown colour with a giant creamy head and a nice lacing; pleasant aroma of licorice with notes of ginger and cloves; solid malt body, some initial sweetness soon followed by a bitter/sour touch, very creamy mouthfeel; the finish shows more maltiness in form of licorice and gingerbread with a touch of warming alcohol - great beer !

Pours a beautiful, clear mahogany with a nice, staying, frothy beige-grey head. Sweet, fruity aroma, lots of prunes and plums with a touch of metal and chocolate. A bit thin mouthfeel. Flavour is rather dry and roasted, some clear metallic notes, some slight chocolate at the end. Tolerable, but not very good for its type. ha1ag (233), Netherlands Jul 8, 2008 Bottled in Take One. Dark brown color, thick brown head with proper lacing. Aroma has plum, raisin and a bit of malt. Flavor is sweet caramel and malts with some metallic. It tastes like beyond bb date. Not good for its kind
