Had this beer some time ago, transferring data from database before Januar I was using to rate beer. As I drink this again I will add a complete review.

Fantastic nose leads to a great collar of tight bubbles that lace the glass after every delicious taste!

Pours a bright clear gold orange with small amount of foamy white head. Aroma bit spicey with lots of banana notes. Flavor likewise very sweet and malty, medium-heavy mouthfeel, lots of banana and bubblegum flavor with slight lemon. Not bitter or dry at all, but very balanced. overall, a big fan.

Bottle.....It pours clear golden with a large fluffy white head... the aroma is fruit, belgian yeast.... the flavor is honey, hops, belgian yeast, fruits, malt, grain and some spices...... an very nice mouthfeel... nice tripel.

Aroma is zachte karamel, vanille met wat kruid. De smaak is peperig met wit- en citrus-fruit, met een bitter als nasmaak, beetje nootachtig. Stuk beter dan de Brugge tripel, welke een vrijwel identiek etiket heeft.

Bottle at Cardinal. Golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, sugar. Flavour is fruit, malt, sugar, apple, spices, alcohol. Nice beer.

$8.99 for a 750 ml bottle @ my local Market Basket. Cellared since Feb 2011. Clear yellow color. Light head retention. Apples and sweet malt aroma with some spices. Light touches of clove as well. Similar flavors but…. It’s not really getting me excited here. Thinner body with lots of lively co2. Champagne- like dryness in the finish. Goes down easy due to the thin body. This was a letdown. No problems but it just didn’t do it for me.
