3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bouteille de 33cl, titre à 8,7%. Couleur dorée, limpide, mousse correcte qui s’estompe assez rapidement . Très épicée et assez fruitée (orange, abricot). Peut être un poil trop sucrée. Longueur moyenne et carbonnation assez fine. Trouvée à Vanuxeem - Ploegstaert .

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
From the 750 ml. corked bottle which loudly threw the cork across the room when I popped it open. Beautiful deep orange-yellow pour with about an inch of fluffy white head and active carbonation that launches upward in the center of the glass like a tornado effect. The aroma bursts with yeast and wheat and is subtle with the herbs and ripe fruit. The mouthfeel is creamy and full. The taste has a full sharpness in quality and is quite likeable. As far as big bottle Belgian Abbeys go, this is fabulous for the $6.99 price I paid.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Corked and caged 750ml ( with a different label than shown) from "Habits" S.Salem. $6.99.
Nice dark golden beer, with a fluffy, thick almost pure white head.
Good aromas, spicy, sweet candy, sour apple( yes sour) slight barnyard.
Taste is similar but no real sourness..until the end then its a crab-apple type bitter-sour. Smmooth peppery spicy, yeast driven flavours..some "bubble gum"too.
Ok on the tongue..not too thin its OK
Overall i enjoyed this one..kinda subdued for a tripel but i like it.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A clear blend of hay, straw, and golden yellow, her white head fades rapidly into a thick collar. Not as much lace as the Dubbel, but still a decent showing. After all, I am taking all this in from a 3oz glass taster, albeit smartly shaped like a mini hefeweizen glass. Her nose, ah her nose… Yeasty, doughy, and fresh, she is smartly assertive, grabbing my attention fast with sliced lemons, freshly baked sourdough, cracked pepper, and pervasive sour yeasty funk without the barnyard. Yowza! A thick full mouthfeel coats my mouth while lemony sourdough settles in for a permanent finish. Sour citrus, cracked white pepper, and whole lemons refresh, delight, and tease my tastebuds with each drying quaff. Full, rich, and stimulating, her simple yet forward palate goes down fast and easy as evidenced by my now empty taster.
Not the most complex Triple I have come across, but intriguingly different. Out of all the Steenbrugge beers I tasted, I would have to say the Tripel was my favorite.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl bottle. Poured with a huge & fluffy, rockily decreasing white head leaving some lacing atop a lively, clear orange/dark yellow body. Banana, esters, yeast & orange peel aromas. These notes are coming primarily from a second bottle of the stuff. I think there were bubblegum notes in the first. Either way, the nose is substantially lighter than the flavour. The alcohol content is fairly noticeable immediately on the palate accompanied by light citrus, dry herbal notes, yeast and some tang. Finishes dry with a spirit-esque bitterness. Warming, medium bodied palate with medium carbonation and a lingering dry hoppy, yeastiness as well as the alcohol bite at the back of the tongue which I seem to remember was less prominent the first time.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft: Poured a golden color with a small head. The aroma was subtle fruit and spice. The flavor was sweet, peppery, apple, cotton candy, and other spices. This was an easy drinker, just not in the same category as the best Tripels in the world.
