33cl bottle. Poured with a huge & fluffy, rockily decreasing white head leaving some lacing atop a lively, clear orange/dark yellow body. Banana, esters, yeast & orange peel aromas. These notes are coming primarily from a second bottle of the stuff. I think there were bubblegum notes in the first. Either way, the nose is substantially lighter than the flavour. The alcohol content is fairly noticeable immediately on the palate accompanied by light citrus, dry herbal notes, yeast and some tang. Finishes dry with a spirit-esque bitterness. Warming, medium bodied palate with medium carbonation and a lingering dry hoppy, yeastiness as well as the alcohol bite at the back of the tongue which I seem to remember was less prominent the first time.

Draft: Poured a golden color with a small head. The aroma was subtle fruit and spice. The flavor was sweet, peppery, apple, cotton candy, and other spices. This was an easy drinker, just not in the same category as the best Tripels in the world.

Not the most handsome of beers despite the gorgeous bottle. Clear golden with a small white head and fairly active carbonation. Aroma offers some fruit, spice, and malt. Feel is quite active and medium. Flavor has plenty of peppery spice, candi sugar, tangerine, tart apples, yeast, and a steady hop bitterness. The sweetness makes this beer very easy to drink and it throws out some nice flavors.

Poured from a bottle into a Leffe chalice. Pours a murky medium straw with a decent head that recedes and laces minimally. Aroma is light grain, candy sugar and light citrus and tropical fruits. Yeast is fruity and slightly dusty or funky, but not prominent. Flavor is pale malt sweetness with a bit of a pineapple rider. Candy sugar takes the front and is interrupted by phenolic alcohol. Finishes boozey and sweet. Mouthfeel is medium with harsh bubbled carbonation. Finishes sticky on the lips. Carbonation is quite harsh and active. Overall a decent tripel, but not something I would go out of my way for. Reviewed on: 05-28-2010

Pours deep gold into a tulip Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving slower sheets. Tropical fruit, candi and yeast aromas. Sweetly spiced tropical fruits upfront turning dry and cloyingly sweet in the hot, lasting candi finish.

Had this at the Pittsburgh Great European Beer Festival at the Sharp Edge Beer Emporium 6/2010. Hazy pale lager eye. Typical strong clean belgy aromas. Rather strong initial flavors yet well behaved and refined. Hides alky content well I guess for an 8%. Decent anmount of CO2. Rubbery at times, same on finish.

On tap at Bieaard in Amsterdam. Pours golden blond with foamy white head. Typical belgian tripel yeast flavor with aromas of cloves and coriander. A bit spicy with moderate bitterness and sweetness. Moderately carbonated. Not bad.

Pours a clear orange body with a medium, dense white head. Smell is sweet malts and flowery hops. Taste is light malts, molasses, floral hops and hints of perfume. Smooth palate and a very drinkable tripel. Perhaps a bit too sweet sometimes, could easily have used a bit more aromatics to balance it. Very pleasant.
