Bottle, thanks Eddan. Clear dark golden with a small white head. Aroma of fruit, some light spices, apricot and some alcohol. Similar taste. The body was rather weak on this one. Drinkable but not that special.

@Eddan: ganska distinkt stickande soft med tydlig persikatoner. Smaken är lite lenare med en ganska enkel persikasmak. Eftersmaken och kroppen något tunn. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Beautiful pour! Yellow clear golden with a massive white cream like foamy head. Yeast hop and malt aroma. Very typical tripel smell. Fresh and fruity. Huh? Really weird taste. Somewhat sweet but hard to describe what I get. I would say very malty. Sugar, and I mean actual sugar flavor. Good body, medium to full with big Co2. Strange one, not nasty but difficult. Not one I?m trying again in the near future.

33cl bottle at Amundsen. Best before 2015-03-16. Light golden colour with a big white foamy head. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is sweet and malty. Some faint hints of hops. Classic Belgian aroma. Flavour is lightly bitter. Notes of alcohol, sugar, spices and grains. Short aftertaste.

Bought a bottle at Bert’s Bierhuis. The beer has a golden color and nice large white head, CO2 level is perfect. In the aroma tones of flowers and oranges. The taste of this tripel is very floral and has a full body with nice bitters. The finish is fresh with nice bitters in the aftertaste. A very resonable tripel, which is worth repeating.

DATE TASTED: November 23, 2013... GLASSWARE: Affligem chalice... OCCASION: a Game of Thrones reading evening... APPEARANCE: pours a slightly copper, malty golden body; lively effervescence; thick,, foamy two-finger white head that keeps its resilience; lacing is formidable... AROMA: bouquet is light, hoppy, floral with light citrus--mostly peach--and apple as well--quite an air to it!... PALATE: full-bodied; immediately warming at the throat; active and anxious in the teeth--clearly not disguising its intentions...TASTE: grape accents early grant a surprising start; smooth, mellow hops make for a surprisingly casual finish; coriander and some nameless funk round out the flavor...OVERALL: a bright, uplifting strength to this beer lends spirit to the religious overtones of the label; situated among the other beers of this mix pack, the "Best of Belgium" proclamation holds some substance--not the best tripel I’ve tasted, but more than holds its own...

Colour: gold straw, with a big, fizzy head. Nose: spicy, citrus and other acidic fruits. Hints of leather. Flavours: orange/lemon peel, vanilla, more herbs and spices. Highly carbonised. Finish: medium, alcoholic. Dry and spiced. Verdict: medium tripel. Not bad but nothing special. In my opinion it tries too much to emulate Westmalle tripel (which IS one of the greats)

Bottle 0,33L. Clear dark yellow colour, with a huge white, bubbly head and lively visible carbonation. Aroma is a bit sourish and yeasty. Taste is light bitter with fruity notes, slightly alcoholic, turns into moderate bitter aftertasteNot bad for a tripel, but I’ve tried a lot better ones...
