COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Steenbrugge Wit-Blanche is a white abbey beer (abbey founded in 1084 by St Arnold, patron saint of brewers) with a refreshing taste combined with subtle Bruges herbal notes („Gruut“). Top-fermented beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle.

750ml bottle. Poured a very light, pale hazy yellow color, with a generous white head. Aroma was wheat, notes of yeast, bubble gum, a touch of tart fruit towards the back. Flavor is quite similar, yeast notes, subtle tart fruit, spices. It was pretty refreshing. I enjoyed this one quite a bit.

Bottled. Hazy lemon yellow color, with average white head. Spicy nose. Flavour is wheat, spicy, coriander. Nicely made beer though a bit too spicy.

Underwhelming wit--little texture, thin body, surprisingly lager-like taste (few if any spice notes; lack of hops is not necessarily a negative with me, but there’s still "not much ’there’ there"

Cloudy pale yellow, fluffy white head. Aroma of yeast and wheat, mildly spicy with some phenolic tones coming through. Flavour of lemon and wheat, some light sourness, some yeast.

On tap at De Engelbewaarder. Cloudy pale gold beer, tiny white head. Semi crisp and smie dry palate. Smooth wheaty malt nicley balanced with some estery banana and lesser traces of citrus and mild bubblegum. Finishes dry with a banana aftertaste.

Tap at De Saloon in Amsterdam. Pours hazy yellow with a foamy, white head. Light lemon and yeast aroma. Sweet flavor, lightly bready, with sugar, hints of banana and citrus. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Okay finish, slightly bland but refreshing.

draft@bowling: expected the very worst from this one but it turned out reasonably, average witbier, bit low on taste, nothing special but easily drinkable, taste is wheat & barley, hint of citrus, almost no spices
