tomer (182), Israel May 13, 2008 Draught, small lasting head, hazy lemon colour, strong carbonation, aroma of vanila with some light cinamon notes. Flavour dominated by lemony sourness and is quite dry, later some fruity sweetness appears which makes the beer more balanced. the sweet and sour continues into the aftertaste which is long and pleasant. Middle of the road belgian wheat which is a little dumb.

Very unusual aroma of smoked cheese and bread. Very spritzy and slightly sour which gives a nice freshness. The taste is also very unusual, with a pronounced cedarwood finish. Reminds me of a dutch Maatjes herring. Wouldn’t it be fun to barrel age a beer on cedar barrels? I’m thinking Flanders Red... ekstedt (1953), Göteborg, Sweden Aug 10, 2008 Bottle (33 cl), thanks rickgordon. Hazy pale golden, medium white head.
