COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied, all-malt lager, with a pleasant kiss of the hop, it is a faithful rendition of the European light amber lagers of old. A 1994 GABF gold medal winner, it is smooth and satisfying while achieving a complex and delightful balance between malt and hops.

better than moderate in flavor it is mostly malt and moderately sweet with basically cane sugar. a bit of fruit as one would expect from a mainly malt brew it none the less has a bit of dishwater in its suprisingly different tasting foamy head. not my particular cup of tea but still a respectable brew of sustantive properties.

Another decent beer for the money. Love the inside bottle caps. Try figuring those out after a few!

Transfering from notes. Bottle. Amber color pour with an off white head. Some hops, balanced by light hops on the nose. Taste is well balanced with some nice hops lingering at the end.

Tap at Standing Bar. Amber beer. Aroma is pretty weak. Pale malts with a light maize and toasted malt character. Softly herbal hoppiness though and a lightly industrial character. Not terrible, but not great either.

Bottle. Dark golden color - clear. Good. Decent ammount of hoppiness and malt - still clean tasting. Much better than mass market US lagers.

This is pretty good for a cheap lager, which i know isnt really saying much, but if you want to drink alot of cheap berr, its not a bad choice.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2007 Tastes like pretzels. This used to be really good. I haven’t had a good case in years. It used to be 2 cases of bottles for $18.57. Now it’s that for one and not as good. I am going to NEPA to get a case soon, maybe it will be better.

Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Flavor is of corn, some sweet and roasted malt, and a little hops. This is not a great beer, but it is drinkable.

Golden color with a taller somewhat lasting off-white head. A creamy aroma that I can’t quite get a handle on. A doughy sweet bread seems to come to mind. Light caramel and a touch of toasted malt in the front. Simple flavors throughout. a touch of sweet herbs check the malts. Fairly standard lager.

Looks darker than the usual pale lager with a nicer head. Aroma is almost limey hops with some decent malt coming through. Flavor has much more defineable hopping than avg pale lagers and the sweet malts arent cardboardy like some-they are smooth and enjoyable. Best semi-macro pale lager so far for me (beats yueng)
