3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 thedm (4773) - Fort Wayne, USA - DEC 29, 2012
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized light tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated transparent cola brown colored body and a very good lacing. The bubbly aroma was sweet and malty. The thin mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering mild aftertaste that lingers on the back of the tongue. The nice mild bock like flavor contained notes of semi thin sweet malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

bottle - Pours amber with a one finger off-white head. It smells of toasted caramel malt. As one would expect the flavor is more of the same. It’s sweet and light to medium bodied with a toasty finish.

A beer of the month club selection. A sweet bock but not overly cloying. Rather nice. Serving: Bottle
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 EithCubes (4201) - New Jersey, USA - JUN 21, 2010
Bottle. Nose is sweet with earthy roast but seems to lack cleanliness. Just stale. Pretty ruby red pour with strong carbonation and sudsy light tan head. Taste is generic sweet maltiness that echoes the notes already listed, aftertaste has some nasty, unexpected vegetable tones. Medium body.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Ughsmash (6672) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 19, 2010
Bottled. Poured hazy medium amber with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet, toasted caramel and dark fruity notes paired with a little bit of odd cleanser.. sprinkles of earth if you dig deep. The flavor found more of the fruit with lesser caramel and some molasses at the core.. black peppery spices and dry earthy bitterness around.. spicy through the finish, and quite dry. Medium-bodied with pushy carbonation that impeded the flow at odd times.. OK feel beyond that.

Tastes of malt, light caramel, light nuts, dried leaves, light molasses, light brown sugar, slight tea, and some grains. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Malt, light nut, dried leaf, and light molasses finish.

Bottle. Amber pour with a thick white head. the nose shows light sweet malt. A little bit of caramel and toast. Well-lagered with a kiss of sweet toffee on the back. It’s swet but not cloying or treacly. A nice balance of fresh breadiness. It’s a pretty solid beer.

Aroma - roasted malt;
Appearance - deep amber color, thin head, decent lacing;
Flavor - sweet malt up front, back is light and dry, mild malt finish;
Palate - smooth mouthfeel, nice body for a lager;
Overall - solid bock, nothing really stands out however good in all aspects.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 beezz86 (68) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUL 17, 2009
Bottle. Poured a clear amber color with very little head. I thought the aroma was very malty with hints of caramel and bread. The beer had a light body, thin texture, soft carbonation, and a pleasant long finish. The flavor follows the aroma closely. Overall, I really liked this beer. I am not much of a Bock fan, but this one has a good blend of ingredients. I would definately drink this again.
