Steg Gold, a classic American lager, is very crisp and clean and easy to drink. We use the finest American two-row and six-row barley and a blend of the finest American hops.

Very pale, with a loose white head. Raw barley aroma, and not much else. Light, crisp and raw. Not much good and not much bad. Just a plain beer.

Bottle. Aptly named ... quite pale, clear, still. Smooth, somewhat sweet-bread-like, just a dash of lemon grass. Unoffending. (#3642, 8/16/2009)

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2012 My bottle just said stegmaier gold. Pale lager look, few bubbles. Sweet slag aroma, somewhat like grandmas old permanent treatment but sweeter. Scum on top. A mild pale lager with few ill taste trifles. Friendly and easy. Decent carbonation. Finish holds no negative effects either, just plain good beer. Probably should be styled as a pale lager.

Bottle (Stegmaier Gold, so hopefully this is its correct place.) Pours a meaningless clear gold with a little bit of a white head. Aromas are of light malt, grass and a hint of lemon from time to time (although not consistently.) Flavor has a lot of adjunct-type maltiness to it with a bit of a grassy and biscuity finish. Not a whole lot going on here, but it’s fine enough for mowing the lawn...

Pours a golden color with a white. Aroma is of sweet malts, grains, and some floral hops. Flavor is pretty light with the grains up front. Crisp finish with some floral hops.

Bottle from Party Source. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium sweet malty and grainy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture with soft carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with an medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Transfering from notes. Bottle. Light yellow-golden pour with a medium head. Very light in aroma with malt and hops that are pretty balanced. Taste is the same, nice malt and light hops.

16 oz bottle. Lt golden, clear. Pretty good. Light malt and hops - much better than mass market US beers, though not as good as microbrew or European pilsener.

12oz’er. Light beer with more malts that a macro. Good but I would rather grab a Lionshead.
