COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Steg Gold, a classic American lager, is very crisp and clean and easy to drink. We use the finest American two-row and six-row barley and a blend of the finest American hops.

Bottle. Pours a clear, pale yellow-gold with a fizzy, small white head. Grainy malt aroma with almost no hops. Flavor is very sweet, bready, some caramel and sugary syrup, some weak earthiness, faint bitterness towards the finish. Light in body, average carbonation. Gotta drink this fella quick - warmth really brings out the worst here. Not terrible overall but there are better pale lagers for sure.

Bottle as Stegmaier Gold from local discount grocery. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is a bit bready. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is bready with a decent amount of hop - considering the style. Much more to this than a standard macro.

Bottle from Party Source. Poured a clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium sweet malty and grainy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture with soft carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with an medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met.

Braudog (5890) - Traveling the USA, Missouri, USA - AUG 16, 2009
Bottle. Aptly named ... quite pale, clear, still. Smooth, somewhat sweet-bread-like, just a dash of lemon grass. Unoffending. (#3642, 8/16/2009)

12oz bottle. Pours clear golden body with small white head that vanishes instantly. Aroma is malts but very light. Smooth body with a bitter finish. Maybe some alcohol as well.

kramer (5089) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 16, 2014
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body under a small fizzy white head that faded quickly to a thin ring. The aroma is laced with some light corn, but it’s fairly clean otherwise. Not much going on in the hops department, but it is a Pale Lager. The flavor is a bit rough, the corn is a bit more noticeable here. Light bodied and fizzy with a lingering corn laced finish. Meh, better than some in the style, but I’ve had far better.

Beerman6686 (4671) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 14, 2014
This one poured a bright yellow color with a white head. Aroma was of pale malt, light sweet corn too. Falvor was a bit sweet, grassy and semi bland, but nothing offputting which is nice.

hotstuff (4269) - Indiana, USA - MAR 22, 2014
Rated on 10-22-2010 (Bottle) This beer pours a small very fizzy white head that quickly dissipates, transparent yellow body, fast rising carbonation, and virtually no lacing. The aroma is malty, grainy, sweet, and bread. The taste is sweet, malty, lightly bitter, and grain. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation, and this beer is medium bodied. This is a very lackluster beer as it lacks character and is a beer I do not recommend.
