12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a hazy copper color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of resin hops with nutty, toasted malts. The taste is bitter resin hops, some citrus and pale malts. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle shared by Sean, thanks! Poured a clear gold with a white head that dissipated to the edge. Aroma was slight pine but mainly sweet grains. Flavor also had a slight bitter pine note but sweet bread and grains were the dominate notes for this beer.

Bottle. Clear orange and bright, moderately active, bubbles rising to to a nice cushiony head. This doesnít put much of an aroma, maybe just a hint of tropical fruit. It drinks with a bit of a spicy edge, earthy and ripe, actually pretty good. I think this is underrated and is a victim of prejudice to the source. (#4572, 4/22/2012)

Can. Shows 6.7% ABV. Translucent golden amber with a tall, fluffy beige head. Aroma is floral hops, grains, sweet malt, bread and soft citrus. Taste is floral hops, sweet malt, light caramel, toasted bread, grains and citrus notes. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation and light, lingering bitterness. Ends with more grains, toasted malt, caramel notes, citrus and floral hops. Not bad.

12oz bottle from the $10 sampler-12. Clear orange color, thin white head. Overly fruity tasting and somewhat syrupy. Tastes appropriately cheap. A boring IPA, possibly the worst of this style (out of ~20) that Iíve tried yet.

12oz. Bottle: Very faint aroma of malt and hops. Poured amber in color with a small, white head that disappeared quickly, except for around the edges. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Some small-sized, particles throughout. Flavor is light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, herbs, and vegetables. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Slightly sweet, medium bitter, malt, hop finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear dark copper body with a nice frothy one inch head that left some nice lacing. The nose shows some decent citrusy hops, but thereís a too sweet crystal malt base behind them that makes me think that this isnít going to be great. Nicely bitter, rather surprisingly so even, with some crystal malt but not a terrible amount. Still a little too sweet overall, but itís better than most of the Lionís efforts. Medium bodied, a touch sticky on the back end with fizzy carbonation. Could be better, but itís not bad.

Bottle, screw-top. Caramel malt and a touch of spaghetti sauce in the nose, dough. Pours hazy amber-orange with a soapy beige head. Taste is sweet with mild bitterness, thereís some mild hoppy fruitiness but not much. Tends rather toward bland and faded etoh-transmission vehicle, unfortunately. Slightly floral, a little grassy/even vegetal, full body with a touch of alcohol showing. It does have a firm backbone, but very little flesh.
