12oz bottle - pours amber/orange with a finger of off white head and modest lacing. Nose is floral and straw. Flavor adds caramel. Light bitterness. Watery. Weak for the style but the high ABV might change my mind.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mansquito (2507) - Nueva York, New York, USA - NOV 1, 2012
Draft Barn, Brooklyn tap ($6): Purchased this as Lionshead IPA, but this appears to be the same beer according to my research, but if not, please correct me. Pours orange with a white head. Aroma is bland and normal IPA. Taste is attenuated IPA. There ain’t nothing in here that you wouldn’t or shouldn’t expect.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JesseinVT (11) - BurlingtonCtB, Vermont, USA - SEP 3, 2012
Overall, not bad nor great. 16oz/473ml can purchased 9/3/12 City Market, Burlington, VT, $4.99/4pk. First time I've seen anything from this label (Stegmaier) or brewery (Lion) from Wilkes-Barre, PA. Light hop smell and clear, light amber color which is lighter than most current IPAs. Cream-white head, substantial lacing. Fairly hop-forward, more citrusy than floral and on the bitter side. Some alcohol warmth, 6.7%ABV listed. Would buy again but would not seek it out either.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 RABinVA (692) - Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA - AUG 15, 2012
Pint can. Would file this under "not terrible." Pours amber/gold with a big fluffy white head. Citrus aromas that seem to be a bit off. Taste is fairly hop forward but without much character, just a lot of bitterness. It’s dry though, which is how I prefer my IPAs. You do get an aftertaste that tastes a little wet dog/skunky. For the price I’d definitely buy this over many other lower end beers.

Appearance: clean amber with medium white top. Some lace shown.
Palate / Taste: Golden malt with caramel side. Slight mineral feel that followed. Empty finish. Poor man’s amber perhaps?

smooth body with full flavors of caramel malt and different types of hops which makes it somewhat different for an ipa especially in this day and age.
