2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Aroma of sweet, toasted caramel malt. Flavor starts off quite sweet, but becomes more quaffable over time. Meh.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by goldtwins. Pours a red/orange with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, light fruits, cracker. Flavor of sweet fruits, maple syrup. This beer reminded me a lot of Peak Organic Maple Oat. I suspect that this beer tasts a lot different when fresh, but in any case it wasn’t terrible. Rather drinkable and sweet.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz. bottle. This was one of the last beers I had at the gathering Friday night, and I can’t remember who brought it. Pours a moslty clear amber. Light aroma of malt and not much else. Flavor is even more indescript with some light malt and again not much else happening. Some light bitterness at the finish. Not unpleasant, just very plain.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks for sharing Yaniv! Clear coppery orange with noticeable bubbles and a thin white head. Toasty lightly sweet deeper caramel. Light floral hops. Fuller body, fizzier, a bit viscous. Fruitier caramel malt. Sweet toasty. Light floral. Sweet caramelly finish.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12 oz bottle from kramer17801; Nose of a light caramel applenote mixed with a bit of diacetyl butteryness; clear amber with a big off-white head; flavor not bad with some fruitiness, caramel sweetness, light spices, but a faint diacetyl buttery note! Not enogh to ruin the beer but I notice it! Must not have rested it quite enough!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle and served in standard pint glass, I think I got this from beerbill: Amber hue with a fading head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of tangerine and apple esters, plenty of caramel and toasted malts, walnut, and a hint of soap. The taste is a straight forward malt based brew with the caramel upfront. There is a hint of classic hop bitterness upon the finish along with some diacetyl tones. The mouth feel is lively but a tad watery too. All in all an okay bier in a genre that is loaded with just okay biers.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
NOt very good at all. Light caramel colored. Some malt, and very thin overall. This one was dialed in and lacks the palate and full bodied malt of a higher-quality oktoberfest.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from TheBeerCellar. Shared at the MN RB Winter shindig. Pleasant Oktoberfest. Pours light orange with a thin bright white head. Flavor is grassy, nutty with a touch of caramel malt. Finishes rather doughy with touches of cut grass.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cool! Another historical brand revived by Lion. Sampled at MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering in Maplewood, MN and supplied by tyleranderso. From a 12-oz bottle pours a semi-clear orange amber brew with an off-white head that has some texture and thickness. Aroma of light bready and caramel malts, a touch of dried pitted fruit, and some roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, a touch of butterscotch and dried fruit. Finish is semi-sweet, a light malty character with a bready aftertaste. I doubt this is an original Stegmaier recipe but happy to see another historical Wilke-Barre label has returned from the past.
