Light.

Clear dirty golden amber, good head that recedes to the rim, dots of lace. Caramel malt grows as it moves through the palate to a noticeably bitter finish. Slight taste of buttered popcorn that leaves an oily coating in the mouth. One of Stegmaier’s best, but still below the products of the established regional craft breweries.

Decent pale ale with a good hoppy flavor. Reasonable price makes it good for drinking anytime.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malt, hops, grass, and light resin. Poured yellow/gold in color with a small, white/off-white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Full of tiny-sized particles throughout. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of malt, grain, hops, and grass. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, grain, hop, grass finish is lightly sweet, light to medium bitter, and dry.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 FROTHINGSLOSH (3961) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a golden-amber color with a medium sized foamy white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was faint vague fruits. The flavor was bitter butter, biscuit, and had a sour off undertone. Medium length sour, bitter and somewhat off finish. Medium body. Unfortunate.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2012 My lady picked this bottle up for me as a gift. 12oz bottle drank out of a shaker glass. Not a bad Pale Ale. Very faint grassy and floral hop aroma. 1/4 inch quickly dissipating head on top of a dark straw colored beer. Watery thin lacing. Grassy taste with a light hop finish. Well carbonated mouth feel with a creamy finish.

#3 in my series of "$1.00 12 ounce Stegmaier singles from budget display at The Party Source." Cloudy amber/yellow hue, small white head, bittersweet aroma with pine and reisin notes, body a bit thin, good, interesting bittersweet flavor, the only problem of which is that it’s a bit watery. if I didn’t know better (and maybe I don’t), the beer seems to be purposely diluted. Fix that problem, Lion, and my grade will go significantly upward. As it is, this would be an easy quaffer in warm temps. But it could be a lot more.

Tap. Light copper with decent head and good lacing. Smells like roses- perfumy and lemony. Tastes like dirty popcorn and citrus.

Bottle from Keller’s. Pours muddled orange with a slight citrus note on the nose. Theres a slight sweetness on the tongue with a finish that’s way more bitter than I was expecting. Not bad for old Steggy.
