Wow, I was surprised to see the lack of stein pubs in their own town. the touristy parts of town sport nearlt all other brans of pubs but this local. I was quick enough to suggest to my traveling companions that we needed a beer when I spied this place off of Obhodna street. Draft. yeasty nose mixed with hops. Crisp clean and slightly fruity body that wnds in predictable lager finish. Glad I found this one again.

Jemně nadprůměrná dvanáctka, což je pro Stein obrovská pochvala. Cokoliv co jsem od nich až do dneška pil stálo za starou belu. Lahváč z Avionu.

Light golden color, little white head. Sweet fruity and hoppy aroma, pretty rich one. Bland mouthfeel, somehow watery start in flavor. Sweet fruits in ending last long, mild hops and some tart tones too.

bottle (pivovar Steiger Vyhne), from Cuso - thank you! Clear yellow colour, large white head. Malty base with good Saaz hops, shy fruit flavours prtesent. Not as interesting and characterful as their vycapne 10°.

perfectly drinkable. like most slovak beers it just seems a slightly maltier, staler and heavier version of budvar or samson. found in the slightly scummier pubs in bratislava

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Major fruity pear aroma seems out of place for a lager but is quite pleasant. Some nutty notes also. Clear copper-orange coloured body with thin white cover of head. Mild, sweet, fruity flavour with light and pleasing bitterness. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel, light body and gentle carbonation. Bottle (at the Toronto Fall gathering).

From bottle, I’m now getting confused with this Stein database. This was definitely STEIN LEZIAK SVETLY with a RED LABEL at 5%. Fresh rich aroma. Clear golden orange appearance with a decent white head. Fruity citrus flavour with hops. Crisp taste. Simple but very refreshing.
