sk8viking (6078), Copenhagen, Denmark Nov 21, 2007 Bottle. A golden beer with a white head. The aroma is of corn and grass, the taste is of straw, corn and hay. Medium body with a dry finish. fiulijn (5860), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Nov 20, 2007 Golden color. The aroma is quite ordinary, with the classic light cereals. The flavor is better, with a good balance of malt, sweetness and bitterness (actually higher than the average, in Germany); even if not much alcoholic, there is some quite alcohol warmth; good bitterness level, and the finish is quite long. Sweet Bock, good. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Clear, deep golden with a small, rough, white head. Sweetish malt aroma. Quite full in body with plenty of sweet malt and some biscuity accents. A touch of flowers before a rather hoppy finish. 171107 MiP (4927), Flensburg, Germany Jul 14, 2007 Bottle, 6.0%. Grassy aroma with a hint of alcohol sourness, pepper and malt. Clear copper colour, unstable head. The flavour starts off (surprisingly) with very hoppy notes, citric, nicely grassy and fruity. The hops remind me of Maibock, but this is much better. Good malt body and mouthfeel. Some might find it too sweet, but for me it is in good balance with the alcohol. One of the best heller Bocks I have had. Drunk on BB date. pivnizub (3768), Porúří, Germany May 30, 2007 Bottle (purchased at the brewery): Clear, deep golden coloured, small, very slowly collapsing creamy head; delicate sugary, sweet-malty nose - with a hidden amount of toasted malt - in front of a faint hoppy background; moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, medium-bodied; moderate, a bit lingering sweet-bitter finish with traces of fruitiness (honey) in the very end. Not a very impressive Bock, but very clean, well balanced and easy drinkable.......
