Flasche aus dem Brauereiverkauf. - Helles Goldbraun, klar, reichlich hellbeigefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase kräftiges Karamelmalz, Brotkruste und krautig-würziger Hopfen, leicht holzig-muffig; dazu eine etwas spritige Note, die an ein Bockbier erinnert. - Antrunk aromatisch karamelmalzig aber nicht zu süß. Würzig-pikante Aromen von Brotkruste, Toastbrot, gerösteten Nüssen und Bayrisch Blockmalz. Gut rezent, weiches Mundgefühl. Im Abgang kräftig hopfenwürzige, etwas holzige Herbe; recht trocken. Trockener, holzig bitterer Nachtrunk. - Recht eigenwilliges aber außerordentlich aromatisches Bier, nicht so glatt und harmlos-gefällig wie viele Dunkle. Der Hopfen agiert hier nicht nur im Hintergrund und zur Abrundung, sondern gestaltet den Charakter des Bieres unverkennbar mit. Wer sich an der leicht muffigen Geruchsnote nicht stört, kann hier ein wirklich interessantes Bier kennenlernen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, leicht würzig. Geschmack würzig, Karamell, leicht röstmalzig.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Copper color. Aromas of nuts and charred bread with hint of metal. Taste of toffee, nuts and charred bread crust. Medium body. Tastes a bit stale (BB two weeks ahead).

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, keller, malt sweet, light roasted.
