Flasche (750ml): Copper coloured and hazy, very stable medium-sized off-white head, rich nose: toffee, dried fruits and lemony traces under a solid hoppy aroma of exotic hops with grapefruity and piney influences, illusions of cough-syrup, too; solid dryish bitter-sweet flavour, almost full bodied; cough syrup, fruity hops and a lemony fruitiness in the finish, followed by a really dry bitter aftertaste. Well rounded and fully flavoured brew. Wenn das die SED wüsste…

Many thanks for this bottle to Beerhunter111. Cloudy orange color with a small white head. Moderate grapefruit bitter beginning that fades a little in the finish.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel orangegoldenes Bier mit ordentlicher weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr fruchtig malzig, hopfig, reife Früchte. Geschmack würzig hopfig, fruchtig, leicht scharf.

33cl bottle thanks to beerhunter111. Appearance is cloudy and dark gold. Head is thin. Body is quite thick. Medium to high bitterness. Aroma is malty, hops, spices, pinneapple. Nice work!

75 cl bottle @ Timo A. Brewed 02/2013
Aroma is sweet with lots of caramel, some vanilla and berry juice. Flavour has pineapple juice, some caramel, hops and hints of vanilla. Like an old DIPA. But that’s what this is. Could be better as fresh.

UPDATED: APR 13, 2014 750 ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours a dark amber copper with a small head. Aroma of bread, sweet caramel and gooseberries. Flavour of sweet caramel, gooseberry bush, mint and grassy bitterness. Quite nice bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes sweet, grassy and lingering bitter. Not at it’s best anymore, unfortunately. Still good, though.

Pours clear amber color with a small head. Aroma is hoppy but a bit cardboardy and sweet, not that fresh anymore clearly. Flavor of resinous hops, cardboard, caramel malts and some hints of toffee. Would probably have been great fresh but sadly a bit out dated.

0.75 l bottle, kindly donated by pivnizub! Hazy deep amber-copper colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty start with a grainy touch, yeasty with a pleasant fruitiness, and with a good amount of hops that have a resiny-grassy-herbal character. Good!

(bottle, 75cl, Kolonial IPA Sud-No. 2, 7.9% abv) Hazy, amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Herbal spicy hoppy aroma with notes of grass, nettles and a rather subtle citrus-fruity touch, accompanied by cara-malt in the background. Bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly cara-malty base with a tinge of cough syrup and a good dash of spicy herbal, slightly resiny hops with a delicate fruit character; dry and moderately bitter finish, again fairly spicy hoppy and subtle fruity finish. A balanced and tasty brew. 27.VI.13

Idiosynkrasie (3584) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 10, 2013
750ml bottle [Sud Nr. 2, 7.9% abv]. Filmy amber colour with average, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Cautious fruity and hoppy aroma, hints of grapefruit and citrus, more or less dominant caramel malty basis with a touch of toffee. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy with a grassy and herbal touch, some pine, minimally sweet caramel malty basis; dry, minimally astringent finish. Doesn’t give the ultimate hop kick but is really an IPA.
