Bouteille 330ml. De couleur jaune-dorée et claire. Nez de grains de malt pâle sucrés, léger de maïs avec des notes de houblon herbeux. Mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture aux notes aqueuses. Léger goût croustillant de grains de malt pâle sucrés dès de l’entrée en bouche suivi de notes de maïs sucré puis en finale l’on retrouve des notes amères de houblon herbeux aux faibles traces terreuses. Post-goût court aux notes sèches, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux. (2005)

Golden lager with a decent white bubbly head that dissipates to a thin layer of foam quickly.
Aroma is grassy; very typical lager nose, perhaps a touch brighter than many other lagers.
Taste is a decent balance of malty sweetness and grassy bitterness.
Thicker, creamier mouth-feel than I expected from a lager.
Decent brew. I’ll actually finish it. :)

Wow, I don’t remember steinie tasting this fresh. I remember hating it when I was 14 or so and it came in white tins. Then I started liking it when I was late teens, but it was too expensive to drink a lot of it. Now I can’t help but compare this to all the other stale, corny, skanky-arsed, flavourless dribbles of piss that make up the mainstream beer market. And I realise this actually does have flavour. And freshness. It has a bit of bitterness, but now, at the end of my first tumbler, it’s finishing a bit too sweet, but what the hell. I never thought I’d say this, but this is good (for a macro).

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins. Pours a bit hazy, yellow appearance with a white head. Quite skunked, a bit grainy, herbal aroma. Thin, somewhat grainy, fairly watery, bitter flavor. Not a whole hell of a lot going on here, bro.

À l’oeil, quelques grosses bulles, dont certaines collent à la paroi. Jaune or très franc, semble très mince. Au nez, la mouffette est là, mais le blé, le maïs et le houblon aussi. Un peu de sucre et de bois sont également présents. Sèche et houblonnée, un peu sucrée-salée, les céréales tiennent le haut du pavé. Pétillante, un peu minérale. L’alcool est bien caché, et elle désaltère admirablement. Peu reluisante au niveau du nez, elle se défend beaucoup mieux sur le gustatif. Peu originale et assez timide, mais elle a une belle qualité, primordiale pour passer le test du dégustateur : elle est agréable.

Gul i färgen, vitt skum. Doftar svagt av malt, citrus, gräs, humle om man anstränger sig lite. Smakar ljus malt citrus, gräs, hö, liten frisk avslutning.

Sehr weich im Antrunk und erfrischend hopfig im Abgang. Dazu ein weiches Brauwasser der Extra-Klasse. Tolles Lager der Kiwi-Pflücker!
