COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Steinlager® is a lager with a distinctive grassy note and clean crisp bitterness of green bullet hops. It is balanced with a dry, astringent finish.

(330 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/augusta/l target=blank>Lou’s Beverage Barn) Pours clear very pale yellow with a pillowy white head. Aroma is quite skunky at first but as head recedes it turns to honeyish malt. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth, a little prickly, a decent amount of heft for the style. Foamy, unattractive sheets of lacing inside of glass. Flavor starts off primarily as honeyish malt with a little bit of bread - not bad, almost reminding me of a heller bock. Light bitterness overlays and gives a little bite. But I am bothered towards the end by hints of skunkiness. A pretty tasty beer for the style that is marred by the skunk.

Poured a pale golden color, with a nicer head then expected that left a nice lacing at the top of the glass. Decent aroma, hoppy and grassy. Taste was fairly clean and refreshing, with a sweetness in the beginning turning a little bitter at the end. Pretty good for a pale lager.

330ml Bottle, 5% a/v Pours light straw color with little noticeable carbonation. Small white head which quickly dicipates (sp?) Skunky aroma with some hops permeating. Taste consists of skunky hoppyness as well. Watery palate, and a nice mild aftertaste. Pretty good beer for when your feeling a little fancy.

Pours a pale yellow with high carbonation and thick white head. Aroma is all hops. Taste is mostly barely with only minor hoppiness and a crips watery finish.

Bottle from same multi-world xmas pack that my sister got me. Clear yellow with fizzy white head and champagne bubbles. Aroma is musty, dirty hops with slight malt background. Flavor is a wierd balance malt and hops that ends up coming off more disturbing than anything else, like the attic of an abandoned house with the sheets still covering the old chairs and the sun slightly shining through the old cobwebs. This beer could be anything but mostly it is very different but oh so familar at the same time. Medium fizzy but crisp at the same time body. Wierd, just wierd, not unenjoyable but just plain wierd. Stephanie says, "tastes like fresh corn on the cob."

I rather liked it. Bought a 12pk at Bullocks, East Cobb. Light straw yellow colored. Fizzy white head.. Slightly skunk bitterness to it. Build Breesia’s IKEA Bed after having at least 3.
