Some bready malts and grass in the aroma. Flavor is your standard pale lager fare. Slighly hoppy with a fizzy, crisp finish. Slight bump because the beer comes from the same country that gave us Flight of the Conchords.

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jun 12, 2008 Updated: Jun 16, 20086 pack of bottles at the grocery store. Pours a pale golden and is surpisingly a medium + body that is quite malty. some skunkiness as the top is popped. A fine dirt moving and lawnmower beer. (Sci-ma-tifi-cally proven). Astringent finish??? Maybe for the kiwis but rather rounded IMHO. A pretty wihite head dissipates fast but leaves a fine ephemeral lacing on the sides of mug. starfireming (309), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 25, 2006 Clear sparkling light amber-yellow colour. Lasting medium white head. Skunky hops scent. Mostly inoffensive corn taste with some hops, harsh afternotes. Still more drinkable than Miller Lite. jimmack34 (570), Lancaster, Ohio, USA

I tried this beer on Fenruary 26, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario. The been poured a translucent gold with a thin white head that didn’t last long. The aroma was very grainy/grassy with some malty hints. The mouthfeel was clean, crisp, medium bodied, and medium to high carbonation. The flavour was overwhelmingly grainy with some hoppy hints at the finish. Not a great tasting lager, but it goes down very well. unclemike (833), Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 5, 2008 Bottle. Bit pale golden colour with a medium rather short lasting bubbly head. Aroma of grains and hops. Flavour is clean, bit thin, grainy and grassy, bit hoppy with a dryish bit sweet finish. Brewed since 1950 and is still the most famous Kiwi beer. A rather boring beer though.

But after that it didn’t really have a smell to it, sad. Nothing about this beer impresses me. I just wanted to try a New Zealand beer. wheelz843 (211), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
