Excellent aroma, and modestly drinkable. My first beer from New Zealand (most likely).

"pretty good for a pale lager...but still a pale lager. taste is a touch malty and slightly sweet...not as skunky as some, but can have a touch of it, or it can be refreshing."

What can I say, its a Pale Ale. It looks like one, it smells like one and it tastes like one. But in a warm Dubai that is OK, and it comes from far away, so who cares. (Dubai 201409)

Clear gold with a white small head. Smells of grain and pale malt with citrus and light hops. Crisp. Light watery body with soft carbonation. Moderate sweetness with corn, grass and a light citrus. Ok pale lager

Golden coloured beer with a white head. Hoppy aroma, taste of mild hoppyness. (Bottle 33cl)

Lounge beer, at the Air New Zealand business class lounge at LAX. Bottle. Crystal clear golden yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of peppery cardboard. Taste is bitter and papery. An inauspicious start to my NZ trip. At least it was free.

Pours an almost clear yellow with a small head. Skunky aroma...skunky flavor...a tiny bit of sweetness and bitterness, but you really have to look for it behind the skunked flavor. Rule of thumb...try not to buy beers in green bottles. Couldn’t finish this beer. I would try it again if I knew it was fresh, I bought it at a reputable store who always gets rid of their old product and stock the shelves with new, fresh beer, so I don’t think it was actually bad because of UV exposure...but I would be willing to try it again if I could find it fresh, maybe on tap in a keg so there is no UV exposure. As of right now, I believe it is a fair rating though.

Nice fruity aroma. Pale clear golden colour with reasonable head. Nice and fruity up front with apple hints in aftertaste. Light body with low carbonation.

The smell was pure skunk. A friend recommended it, the bastard. The taste though was different, but in an average way. The head died pretty quick but the edging left lacing. Pretty much like the scent, but minus the major skunk. Really pils like. Prominent hop bite in the swallow leaving behind a trail of toasted malt and maybe a bit of lemon rind?

This was poured into a pilsener glass. The appearance was a decent looking clear to somewhat light hazy yellow color with a decent carbonation seen rising a rocky foamy two finger white head. The smell had mainly a grassy/hay-like qualities running over top of a light skunkiness (yes, I know I have a green bottle, its okay, I shall proceed). The taste was grassy and hay-like again and added a light sweet corn-like feature to it that was okay but not great. The aftertaste was kinda harsh and assaulting a bit through the skunky yet sweet corn-like feature. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and had a decent sessionable quality about it. Overall, I say this was a decent pale lager, its nothing to go bonkers about but if anything I think I’d try this again on tap.
