3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Malvern Wegman’s. Pours hazy yellow with a small, white head, and plenty of carbonation. Aroma is faint but has some rice and barley. Taste is really nice for a lager. Has some malt sweetness and a nice dry, bite in the end.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear, tiny bubbled gold with a tall white head.
Scent is yeasty, grassy.
Taste is light, average "lager-ness"....
A little sweet and a little hops.
Not a bad flavour, just precious little of it.
Amazingly, not skunky in the slightest....despite the green bottle and a trip halfway around the world.

330ml bottle. Yeasty alcohol on the nose, very plain, some floral hops but overall plain taste. Classic mainstream lager

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Green bottle, light yellow color, and grassy scent. It already screams New Zealand’s version of Heineken. Pours a clear, light yellow color with only a slight, short lived head. Scent is of cheap grassy grains. Something different for sure. Taste is mild with different grains blended together to give very earthy tone. Basically drinks like any cheap watery American beer, but with perhaps a little bolder flavor. If you drink this you’ll show a little culture but don’t expect a great taste.

Steinlager Pure - Skunky out of the green bottle, but also nice grass and popcorn aromas. Head doesn’t quit, though lacing is a little weak. Light yellow. Somewhat honey-sweet malts to go with a tiny hop bite in the finish. Solid summer sipper. I’d actually take this over Sam Adams Light - the hop end-note works nicely with the light sweetness.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
What’s so pure about this? The aroma reminds me of stella..... skunky. Dark yellow pour with a white head, skunky scent, plain lager flavor; nothing unique here.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
From notes: Poured slightly hazy straw color, with a 1-finger white head and mild bubbling along the glass. Mild aroma of yeast funk. Body is light and slightly fizzy. Mild grainy flavor, with yeast and light citrus notes. Dry finish. Nothing special.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours a light sunny colour. Very typical big brewery colour. Smell is some hay/grains...meh. There is a very odd sweetness to this beer. I found it quite off-putting
