COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Steinlager® is a lager with a distinctive grassy note and clean crisp bitterness of green bullet hops. It is balanced with a dry, astringent finish.

I bought a large bottle at a grocery store just to try it. Comes in a green glass bottle and guess what...it was skunky. There is a good reason beer was sold in brown glass bottles. It keeps beer from getting skunked. Once past the skunk aspect it tasted much like an old-school American Lager beer. Back when they brewed beer with real hops. Nice head good amount of lacings would like to try some pre-skunked sometime.

I’ve had this one in New Zealand on my honeymoon.
It’s the commercial brand of NZ. But actually it’s not good at all. Sure.. nice to have at a game or in front of the tv.. but really enjoy.. no. Too crisp and too dull.

bottle. as soon as I opened it the bottle I was punched in the face by a piney aroma of hops. it pours a clear yellow with a large rocky head. very little carbonation actually in the beer though. taste is very inoffensive, mainly because it tastes like bottled water with some beer poured in it. very easy to drink a lot of but not something outstanding to go raving to your friends about.

Bottle. At local soccer dome after playing an indoor game. In plastic cup. Pours clear, pale yellow, with fizzy, medium white head. Aroma is rubber, band aid, and grass, very slight hint of sweetness. Flavor is similar, actually tastes more like a pilsner to me. Grassy, bitter aftertaste, crisp, little malt flavor.

A little skunky coming out of the bottle. Dry and astringent just as the description says. Clear golden in color and does indeed develop a grassy aroma as the beer warms slightly. Usually I like bitterness but this is kinda medicinal in flavor. Probably won’t drink again.

Pale gold colour with a fair head, but dissappears to some lacing,Aroma is they say grassy I say fresh manure,This brewery has a habit of making sour salty brews, this is another I gave away for that reason, nice opening bitter taste, then a terrible finish.

Large white lasting head generating some ring and random lace over a medium pale gold crystal clear coloured brew. Medium bitter hops and faint soapy aroma. Medium to light body with typical low end lager medium bitter and ordinary malty corny sweet favoured palate. Rawish bitter finish and soft malty corn sweet malt aftertaste.
