Let’s ignore the ridiculous name, they could have just called it Beermug. This is a subpar lager, with a somewhat skunky taste and aroma. Just stick with whatever domestic you like.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2007 11.15oz bottle: pours with a nice head that last a long time for the type of beer. aroma is like a cheap macro. dark yellow in color. flavor is pretty generic macro flavor with just a slight off taste. overall this beer doesnt have a whole lot going for it other then being brewed in new zealand. flavor isnt bad like most big american macros but does have just a slight off taste.

330ml bottle.
Pours clear hay yellow with a medium white foam head. The Aroma is barely there but what you can manage is skunky and sour. Feels and tastes veery thin and watery. Average lager flavour but weaker. Finishes sweet. Not great.

The color is a light pale yellow color. The smell is slightly skunky with a bit of floral. The taste is slightly skunky with a clean and crisp finish. Taste good with pizza.

750ml bottle. Poured a medium golden color with an averaged sized white head. Aromas of grassiness, vegatables, and a little skunky. Tastes of grass and some sweet malts. Thinner body.

The SKUNK!! Mephitis mephitis! As in Mephistopheles...If the brewer could do something about the nose this beer would be passable. New Zealand is a beautiful country populated by good people; I hope they have something better than this to drink. Once is enough.

Light golden with medium head that is very thin looking. Immdeiate skunky aroma. A little bit of spicy hops. Hops are consistent throughout. Light and very crisp. Not exciting, but not supposed to be.
