COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Steinlager® is a lager with a distinctive grassy note and clean crisp bitterness of green bullet hops. It is balanced with a dry, astringent finish.

Meh...an ok beer. Crisp, refreshing, not much else. Not really skuky, if that’s a compliment. I’ll talk on after a hot day in the yard, but other than that I’ll pass this one up.

I was in the mood for a bland lager tonight, I have no idea why. Clear golden with a large rocky head. Aroma is grain, cereal, hint of bread and grassy hops. Flavor brings this, light bodied with some metal. Buttery mouthfeel but the metal is always there. Good for the style, bad for beer.

Yep, it is a skunk. I thought it was one of the worst imports that I ever had,......did I say it was skunky more thanonce!

Bomber - Poured a clear golden amber in color with a foamy white head that settled to a thin covering on the beer. I was surprised to see some lacing on the glass. Aroma is faint of herbal hops and big on skunk. Flavor is not much better. Some hoppy bitterness. Tastes mostly of corn adjunct rather than malt. Dry clean finish. Not very good... sort of reminds me of really cheap Canadian brew...

Bottle. Pours clear yellow, white head. This smells like a corn feed bag. Flavor is skunky, corn, and burlap bag.

Bottle. Bought this after IUP kicked Clarion’s ass down in Indiana and Mike Kalinowski and I went to RK’s for pizza and brew. I saved one for rating. Pours like a good NZ lager should, light and with a fluffy, cottony head. Lots and lots of great lace and a good crisp hoppy bite but finishes with a great malty sweetness. I think that this one is underrated as a great example of a pale lager. Tons better than macro pale lagers. This one is good and refreshing. Nose is like a sticky skunky bud. Good stuff with just a little more body than expected. I like it.

Another ho hum pale lager. This one has a grassy aroma and is surprisingly dry. I kept reading about sweetness being tasted by other reviewers but didn’t find it myself. It was just slightly bitter and metallic. Had a somewhat unique flavor.
