Dec 24, 2005 Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes.

Dec 14, 2005 Bottle out of a super cheap sixer at the Class VI store. Yep, pour of gold with a medium sized white head--standard lager. Sweetish, grassy, slight hint of hops and light malts in the nose....nothing unexpected. Equally grainy and grassy in the taste with more of a light hop bite in the finish. Thin and light in the mouth....lightly bitter hops in the end. Not bad or skunky...just ok.

Dec 9, 2005 330ml bottle. Several comments have been made in respect to the skunky smell, but this was not my case. It has a beautiful golden color and a fine head, This beer has a nice hoppy and sweet aroma with a very pleasant aftertaste. Not a great beer, but clean and fresh. Was pleasantly surprised by this lager.

Very pale gold, almost green tinged. Thin, white, lingering head and lacey. Mild, honey dominated, nose with a very faint touch of herbs and white pepper. A bit short and lacking a good noble hop influence but otherwise quite drinkable. It certainly gets a hard time, probably because it won’t ravel well in the green bottle, but I find Steinlager to be a touch better than all the other mainstream "premium" lagers. Still being no match for any of the good micro’s though, not even close.

does not count Nov 29, 2005 Definately one of my favorite lagers, not much for aroma (slightly skunky), and the color is fairly pale, but the taste is a unique corn/grass with a strong hop bite leaving you wanting more.

Nov 21, 2005 25.4 oz bottle poured a clear yellow with a large lasting white head. Aroma of skunk permeated the room the moment I opened this bottle, fortunatly it did’nt smell entirely of skunk. It also smelled of corn and abit of hops. Palate was light bodied, crisp and clean. Flavors of pale malt, corn and mild hops with a crisp, clean finish.
