grassy hay aroma, border line skunky smell. The taste is different a bit different from most pale lagers, but in a bad way. Why do people drink this stuff?

Another world-wide boring pale lager that really just doesn’t taste that good. Somewhat of a pilsner taste with some grassy hops, but this was more watery than malty (had to have corn in it). The pour was golden swill yellow with a very small head. Nice light mouthfeel if you’re cutting grass (which I wasn’t), but other than that.... no good.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 ehhdayton (1188) - USA - JUN 1, 2006
The aroma is light with some malt and grain. The color is a very pale, clear yellow with a white head. Light flavor with an astringent finish.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 beervana (781) - Libertyville, Illinois, USA - MAY 29, 2006
(04.13.06) 1 pint, 9.4 oz green bottle from Golden Eagle, Libertyville, IL. 5% ABV. Bottle labeled A010706. Poured clear golden yellow with large white head. Good carbonation. Sweet malt and grassy aroma. Medium bodied New Zealand lager that starts dry with nutty/malty flavor. Finished dry with light malt fade. Very little hop presence. Decent drinkable lager for washing down food. Nothing special.

tastes like typical euro-piss lager.Smells skunky, no head, urine yellow color. Still tastes better than US macro swill. But not by much.

Pours gold, looks like your typical import knockoff beer, but this one is a little less skunky and a little more tastey than say heiny. You can actually taste the hops in here. I’m impressed since it’s light and swillish, but actually not that bad.
2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 warrior (213) - Mt. Wolf, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2006
Damn green bottles! Beer has a skunky aroma that always distrcts from the beer. I wish brewers would stop using the green bottle for "that euorpean look" to their beer. My brother actually told me he thought was part of the heiniken flavor and didn’t know it came from the hops reacting to UV light. Beer is a light golden color with a decent sized white head that clings to the glass. Flavor is again not as good as it should be from the slight skunkness of the hops. There is a mild malt flavor and it has some mild bitterness from the hops. Just tastes like a standard heiniken type beer with a little more flavor.
3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 JohnyontheSpot (14) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 20, 2006
A better than average lager which has a nice golden appearance. It lacks in aroma and richness when compared to some of the european lagers, eminently drinkable but i didn’t feel like up to a Tango.
