JonMoore (1561), Loughborough, Leicestershire, England Sep 11, 2005 Bottle. Golden colour, large white head. Aroma is a bit skunky, malty and grassy. Quite crisp, mostly bland tasting, highly carbonated. Surprisingly inoffensive. MatKool (64), Canada Sep 9, 2005 Pours a nice yellow color with a strong skunky aroma. Very smooth palate with hints of molasses or coffee perhaps...? Surprisingly full bodied from a pale ale. It reminded me of some sweeter stouts I have tasted without the heaviness. Shag (1922), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Sep 7, 2005 A lemon and grass aroma. The appearance is a cloudy yellow with a moderate head. The flavor is indeed crisp and not skunky tasting but with little to offer. Its a heinken with a different label on it basically. Overall it will do. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA Sep 2, 2005 Light Gold Coloring. Hard to State or Phrase What Can be Summed Up in One Simplific Way: Skunkarific! jrob21 (1252), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Sep 2, 2005 blech. one of the flattest most uninspiring beers i’ve had in a while. it would probably rate lower ’cept i had already had a number before this one. RichJ7 (1175), Cullman, Alabama, USA Aug 30, 2005 Pours a clear straw color with a thin, white head. Aroma is malty with a slight skunkiness. Taste is not as bad as I thought it would be ...rich for a pale lager: sweet and malty with a pleasantly bitter hop presence. Overall, not a bad sort of beer. TheBeerOrg (1563), Kentucky, USA Aug 29, 2005 Pours clear yellow with a mostly receding white head. Aroma is grassy, slightly bready. Taste is metallic, grainy, and not good. But also not bad. Taste is somewhat bready with enough hop bitterness to provide a contrast. Slightly sour at first, and unnerving. This one has a strange hop tang in the finish, quite unusual. This is a bad beer, but it leaves me guessing. Think Heine or Becks with a funky hop finish.
rederic (1787), montréal, Quebec, Canada Aug 18, 2005 Pale yellow hue, delicate floral hops, with a soft malty nose, but skunky smell at the opening of the bottle, medium-bodied palate with sweet grainy malt flavor, leading to a mild earthy hops finish.
