Gypsy19 (602), California, USA Feb 15, 2009 A very crisp and suprisingly flavorful lager. If you’re a lager guy, this is about the best you can get. Quite hoppy for a lager, skunky. Overall, fair to good. ditmier (1021), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 9, 2009 208 Bottle - Pours a pale yellow with a medium white head...aroma is typical lager skunk, maybe a bit hoppier than others...flavour is crisp and clean grassy malt and bitters...I would much rather drink this than some of the other lagers on the shelf...decent... kiwibt (51), , New Zealand Feb 9, 2009 Bottle bb 23/10/09
Yellow with meduim head and carbonation.
Aroma of grainy hop, slight dms and green apple.
Grainy astringent malt with a harsh hop bitterness.
Overall good balance of malt and hop, but the astringent malt and harsh hop are a bit out of balance. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Feb 8, 2009 Tried a skunked sample. I’m not sure how much improvement it would have been had it not been tainted. jsquire (2087), St. Marys, Ohio, USA Feb 1, 2009 Golden colored beer with a foamy white head. Light grainy nose with some wet grass. Dry, grainy beer with some chemical notes and thin sweetness. Grassy hops. Pretty standard lager, but not offensive. chicagodri (1021), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 29, 2009 Pours gold with a thin white head. Light aroma. Was sort of a boring lager. Seems this is all I can get when I am in Australia. fidelis83 (707), Clinton, Iowa, USA Jan 16, 2009 Pours a very pale gold with a 1 finger creamy white head (poured pretty violently to get this) that has o.k. retention. Aroma is grass, straw, animal feed, and some toasted sweet grain. Flavor is sweet and grainy, grassy hops feel a bit forcefull for the light and sweet straw like malt notes. Slightly bitter grass and herbal notes to the finish, not too great, better than most of the style I guess but I will not be likely buy it again. donfardz64 (406), Wellington, New Zealand Jan 14, 2009 750mL bottle. Pours pale golden, puffy white head. A highly aromatic beer, pity the aromas are quite unpleasant. Grassy hop dominates the aroma, kinda smells like a sheep farm. Sheep poo and grass. A standard lager taste to it, possibly a bit sweet. Unbalanced malty sweetness, and a slight hop bitterness. Clean slightly bitter finish
