Ungstrup (14758), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 7, 2003 This beer has a nice hoppy and sweet aroma. And it has a beutiful godlen color and a fine head, though it disappears a little too fast. The taste is a nice crisp sweet one, turning slightly bitter, and ending with a prickling on the tongue. A nice pilsener. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 3, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Oh sweet memories, this was a clear favourite of mine many years ago in New Zealand. In particular I loved the fantastic aroma hops. Just smelling this beer was half the pleasure. But either my memory is failing me or my dearly beloved Steinie has really declined in recent years.
Pilsener golden with a decent, creamy head leaving a pretty lacework. Decent malty body and a hoppy finish. Just another ordinary lager. Sadness... 030805 omhper (12155), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 10, 2006 Bottled. Finally I got around to taste the real NZ brewed stuff.
There’s some grassy hops up fron and it has a decent, rounded buttery malt profile.
The bitterness is low, but for a mass market beer it’s pretty solid. yespr (11649), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 5, 2009 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small and chalk white head. Aroma is light citrusy and grassy, rather crisp and inviting. Citrusy, light cornish and crisp grassy bitter flavoured. Medium dry and vague citrusy flavoured finish. Good pale lager. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Apr 2, 2009 Bottle 330ml. Clear light yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, grian, toasted, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20081231] oh6gdx (8802), Vasa, Finland Jul 30, 2005 Bottled. Pale golden colour, small foamish white head. Malty and hoppy nose. Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Mar 29, 2002 Updated: Sep 1, 2005Pale golden colour. Grassy aroma with hints of pale malt. Mild bitterness with grassy notes and again a light, balancing pale malt. Fairly dry finish. I haven’t had this in over 12 years, and I’m pretty surprised. Much hoppier than you’d expect from a national lager brand, it’s on a par with the lighter German pils like Beck’s or Warsteiner and depending on the relative freshness, could easily surpass them. Green Bullet is a unique hop to us non-antipodeans and its character can be likened to Nugget on the bitterness side and a dull, thudding noble offshoot in terms of flavour.
