Golden colour with a thin head. The aroma is grassy hop, and a strawlike malt note. Light grassy character, backed by light malts and just a bit of alcohol. Clean, if boring for a strong pale lager.

Can in Iasi. Clear gold with stable but delicate head. Clean grainy aroma.
Sweet, but not cloying in the palate
Nutty malts, developed enough to finish clean and without discernible flaw--no harsh ML characteristic. Decent mochne.

500ml can. It is an useful beer but not bad. It has strong alcohol, some malt and hop aroma, lively carbonation hides the bad tastes. Drinkable and cheap.
4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 freddy42 (3) - cluj napoca, ROMANIA - MAR 15, 2012 does not count
I used to make my own beer in the U.K. using Tom Caxton kits. The smell of Stejar and the taste is the closest i have ever come to "home brew". I think it is the best bought beer i have ever tasted. A lot of major companies have tried over the years to push the alcohol to 7% in beer and failed dismally because the smell and taste of alcohol overwhelms the beer itself. (The best example being Kronenburg Cruz which was awful as it just tasted of the alcohol).
Stejar Strong is the only beer that has got it just right. It smells "strong" but it tastes of beer as it should and not the increased alcohol.
Ironically here in Romania where it is made,it is one of the cheapest beers on the market...LUCKY ME!
1.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 KoNrRiI (242) - Århus, DENMARK - JAN 16, 2012
0.5 bottle. Aroma of sweet malts, some leather and what appears to be cupboard. Clear liquid, not exactly golden-colored, amber to be specific. Quite big head as for its kind, although retention is rather mediocre. The beer has some bite but not too much, malt sweetness is noticeable. Although body is medium and quite nice, rest of the palate is awful. Texture is thin, carbonation lively and this combined with finish which is bitter to such an extent that one wishes it was shorter makes it rather unpleasant experience. Completely spoils the impression of the taste which isn’t all that bad. Not worthy of recommendation.
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 mjs (3665) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 31, 2011
(Can, 0.5 l, courtesy of rosenbergh, 20111231) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and fizzy. Aroma had sweetness, alcohol and cardboard. Palate was medium bodied, sticky and almost burning with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, cardboard, sweetness, alcohol and bitterness. Aftertaste was boozy and bitter. Not really horrible but still something I dislike a lot. Too much booze and too little of the rest.
