I confiscated this from someone who thought BYOB on licensed premises was OK. He was wrong.
Can, poured into pint glass. Urine yellow, no head, no lace. Smells of grain. Tastes of can (maybe the canning, not the beer? Still, urgh). Body is watery, utterly flat. Foul.

Can from Asda. Golden beer with medium frothy head. Aroma of faint sweet malts. Taste is pale malts, corn and grain. OK for a lager.

1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Like an already crappy beer that has been watered down. Since 1366!
Cereal, cardboard and misery on the nose, taste is same with added wretchedness, all resting on a stained mattress of consumer stupidity.

More for the marketing than any real difference from the regular Stella, maybe just a little weaker.

Not much to say really. Just like watered down Stella Artois. Refreshing enough. Minimal flavour.

Somehow better than normal Stella, both sampled on the night, this shared with Domnik, my ears still ring too, I’m sitting on Domnik’s left in the car tomorrow, gonna have all sorts of fun with that. Jesus take me to a Higher place. Not yet though, I may have almost killed myself at the weekend through pure moronicy (word?) but I ain’t ready cuz life rocks so it does.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Shared a can with Bish at the Institute in Brum waiting for Mudhoney to further damage the ears that Metz had destroyed, along with their drum and an amp. My left ear is still buzzing away nearly 24 hours later. This was ok, but then, good company can raise the dullest of dull.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ The Toby Jug, Corstorphine, Edinburgh. Expected pale golden appearance with notes of pale malt and some citrus. The taste is very similar. The palate has a light to medium body and it’s clean and refreshing. I’ve said it before, but in a blind tasting of all of the mass produced lagers available in the UK, I’ve found Stella in its various forms to be a little fuller in body and therefore a little more satisfying.
