Draught, Best Western Marina hotel, Dover, 12/02/12. Darker amber than lager, sinking halo. Tang of unexpected fruit leaning toward Flemishness; iron, caramel. Unusual. Hay and light vinegar aroma. Tastes weirdly like Rodenbach. But four times as expensive.

Drank in The Bank, Manchester. Clear gold, white head. Dry, malty, slightly bitter. Probably a bit better than expected actually but wouldn’t choose to drink this ever again.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Scottrf (96) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2011
Amber, bubbly, large head.
Smelly a bot fruity, and eggy lager smell.
Taste similar, off lager.
Quite thin, good carbonation.
Could be a bad pour, not impressed.
2.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BeerCast_Rich (1070) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 24, 2011
[keg somewhere in Glasgow] Firstly, obviously, it’s not black. Secondly, it’s actually not too bad. In the same way that Kronenbourg isn’t too bad, I mean. Furiously carbonated, thick fluffy head. Minimal aroma other than a slightly sweet wheatyness. I was surprised at the lack of Stella Artois-esque walloping metallic acidity, they seem to have stripped that out. This one is much more mellow and far nicer. Clearly, it’s quite hard to be nice about it as we’re all rampaging beer snobs, but I thought it was not too bad [23102011]

Keg, 4.9% abv, at The Sir Christopher Hatton (Nicholsons pub), thanks to oh6gdx for sharing. Not black at all, has got a transparent blond coloured body. Filmy head. Sweet fruity aroma. Sweet malt and grass in flavour. Woody dry ending. Very sweet, still possible to quaff (London, 01.08.2011).
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 teorn88 (577) - Rimini, ITALY - AUG 18, 2011
On tap. Light amber clear color. Bitter taste, and pretty much a standard tasting large pilsner. Some wheat-type flavors come through. Someway sweet.
