One of the best on the market. The aroma is pleasant and comes nowhere close to the skunkiness that might be first expected when considering its competitors. The coloration is a light golden, topped off by an adequate yet unobtrusive head and fine carbonation. Possessing one of the most balanced flavors around, this beer is remarkably consistent in first impression and finish, and is amazinlgy and refreshingly balanced between sweet and bitter, with neither malts nor hops overtaking one another in the overall character of the beer.

Pour from a 12oz bottle. Golden color with two fingers of white head that slowly dissipates, leaving ample lacing in the glass. Aroma of weak malt dominated by hops. Very well balanced flavor with a fine maltiness at the start and excellent hops smack in the finish.

Sometimes my slack and sleeping senses require the thunder and fireworks of ales, stouts, and craft brews. But the voice of fine brewing speaks gently… and it speaks here.

Pours a golden yellow, with okay head. Aroma is of grass and skunkiness. Flavor was very bitter with a skunky aftertaste that turned my taste buds. Overall a very light in taste and quality beer.

Aroma - light grass, skunky. Appearance - Clear golden with a medium head that dissipates quickly. Flavor - grass, skunk, light sweetness, light bitterness. Palate - light body, thin feel, lively. Overall - A nice refreshing beer that is light on taste. Not the best of beers but good for what it is.

Enjoyed from a 12oz bottle in a pub glass. Pours a light golden to medium yellow color with a relatively fluffy white head. The nose gives notes of malt sweetness, but only to a limited extent. On more than one occasion, I’ve gotten a skunked sample due to the Germans and Belgians’ mis-guided choice to put their beers in green bottles. On its best day, the nose is ultimately slight, but not wholly inappropriate for the style. The palate is thin, but does give some notes of what one would expect from the "Premium Lager" style. Pilsner malt sweetness and a touch of hop flavor (and I do mean a touch) come through as the most recognizable flavors. The finish seems to be almost right in the middle between sweet and dry. Overall, a good example of the aforementioned style, but don’t buy the advertising, it still pretty much sucks.

I don’t understand the hype of this beer, every where you go you see signs hanging from the out side of bars advertising they have Stella WHOOPTY FUCKING DO!!! This beers popularity is based on being over priced and the fact its served fancy glass people think they’re drinking some fancy import that they hope will impress the local bar stars (sluts). Don’t get me wrong this is not a bad tasting beer it has a nice golden colour a nice white head and a sweet grassy aroma. The taste isn’t watered down and its quit refreshing, its just not worth the insane amount you pay for it. I guess I have to give this beer a good ranking because its not swill its just way over priced, and that’s the only reason its so popular. Good job marketing team!
