2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: FEB 15, 2004 So here goes my first rating. Starting with my favourite lager might not be wise, but it might be informative also.
The appearance is nothing special, nice golden colour but the head soon vanishes. There is little in the way of smell, but what is is inoffensive.
It does have a good body for a lager and although I wouldn't mind more flavour it has a nice bitterness that most lagers lack.
Still, one of the best regular lager I know of and a good allrounder.
Rerated: this wasn't a very traumatic revisitation. More yellow golden than I remembered and even less head. Left some lacing though. Slight inoffencive aroma.
Nice hop profile, but I'd like to see the adjuncts (corn/maize) give way to a little more maltiness. That way this would be really good. As is, still better than most macro lagers, but overpriced.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I'm not too sure what's going on, but lately I've really been enjoying Belgium beers. I used to not care for them much at all. Stella has a wonderful taste that it smooth and suttle on the palate with just a hint of fruitness. A great beer to enjoy with a brat and while watching the Cubs kick a$$.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A crystal clear easy drinking smooth pilsener that is only lacking in a little bit of flavour. Best on a hot day and better than most other european mainstream beers.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Crystal clear and yellow. Nice hop nose, I assume saaz, but not 100% Light body not as grainy as say Urquel, good lace.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Absolutely crystal clear, concise, boring-ass pilsner. That's simple what this was. There is nothing here to be taken away, it seems like the epitome of what a pilsner has to be, but not what it can be, if that makes sense.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2004 Based on draught version: golden color, thin head, average tasting pilsner. Fairly common pub beer in western Europe and Africa.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
canary yellow in appearence and not much of a pilsner taste. Would rather have a Pilsner Urquell instead. The only good thing is that they were free.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUL 4, 2007 Golden in color with a crisp clean and malty aroma. Hoppy and malty flavor. Light and refreshing. I really like this beer. Clean tasting. Enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice hops. The malt is a little watery in flavor, with hops being the emphasis. Great head. This is a good lawnmower beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Golden color with a white head. The taste is a nicely balanced malty and bitter combo.
