Yellow color with strong white head. Aroma of dough and bread, some grassy/hay undernotes. Tasts is slightly sweet and bitter. Overall good mass produced lager.

12 oz bottle - It has a definite European aroma to it. Good blend of malts and hops. Not a great beer but good for a pale lager. I had been underestimating it.

This is a decent beer for a macro lager, but it isn’t a great beer itself. It usually comes skunky and provides you with just a bit of grain and a micro kiss of hops.

A decent beer. Good with a light meal like a salad. Pours light. Light head. Crisp beer

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2011 As close in flavor to white bread as beer gets. Not exceptional and overated, but passable overall.

Quite good pale lager. Widely distributed, still there is something unique and interesting. Well balanced bitterness.

First off I will say that I do really enjoy Stella Artois. The problem with it as with most mass produced beer is it loses some character. Stella is a pale lager that offers a refreshing crispness, a light dance on the tongue if you will. What Stella lacks is a full body, strong aroma, or any complexity. It pours pale straw yellow with a thick white bubbly head. There is little to no aroma as well. It does have more flavor than most US macro brew or alot of common lagers. Light taste with easy going hop character. It is bubbly and light in the mouth and is very drinkable. If you are in a bar with a limited selection, you are in the mood for larger, a Stella will not do you wrong. Keeping in mind that there are many lagers with way more complexity, however Stella is easy to find.
