330ml bottle (brewed under license in Australia by Fosters - always check the label to see if you are getting the genuine imported version or not). A clear golden beer with a loose white head. Nose and taste is grainy sweet malts with subtle grassy hops. Medium bodied and easily drinkable with a low carbonation. An OK premium lager but I recall the Belgian brewed version was better.

On draft. Golden and transparent in the glass. Bready malt nose. Medium body. Touch of diacetyl on the palate. Definitely like this one more on draft.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2011 A very good pilsener. Here in Norway, our lagers are not that great. This is a very decent lager, with a sweet malty note to it.

Ho sempre apprezzato questa pale lager, perchè nel mondo delle birre industriali ha sempre tenuto un certo livello, ma ora il livello è calato e parecchio...

330ml bottle. Pale clear golden. Head is medium high and total white. Aroma has some citrus and grass. Flavor is pure and quite fresh. Has citrus and grassy hops. Maybe little dry finish.

500ml can of UK brewed Stella. Pours a medium white head, average retention. Clear pale yellow-gold body. Wheat dominates, grassy hop, corn. Bitter. Dry lingering bitter finish.

Pours clear copper yellow with a rather small fast diminishing head. Aroma is very light with a hint of sweetness. Taste is very mild, some sweetness, very little bitterness is noticed. Finish is hardly noticeable but does linger a bit in the background. Palate is light bodied, watery with low carbonation. Overall as a pale lager i would say this is a good beer, it’s refreshing and mild and very drinkable as such.

Bottle. I typically drink ales more than lager, but when I want a pale lager, I really like Stella. Grainy/malty flavor is what sets this beer apart from many other lagers in my opinion. Quite refreshing and good overall, when rating based on this style.
