3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
11.2oz bottle: pours straw yellow with a white head. A bit of a hoppy taste, nothing too special, but not bad. Iíd prefer this over most domestics, but Iím notabout to pay a premium price when there are far better beers around.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JAN 13, 2006 New review:
The old reviewís a bit embarrasing so I decided to rerate this. And is there better way to do it than fromm one of the fancy 0.75l champagne Christmas/New Year bottles of this, brewed in Belgium (Zagrebačka Pivovara brews Stella for Croatian market) ? The cork was damn hard to get out, and the pop in the end was weak. Poured a pale yellow/golden colour with a big white head that went away fast leaving scattered lacing (App: -1). Nose... malt and peanuts with hints of maybe cabbage, sulphur and dust. (Aroma: -1). Taste... fairly inconspicuous, flat, some nice lemony hoppines covering a malty body, some weak fruit, a hint of olive oil, and a nice herbal/grapeseed hoppy aftertaste. The flavor/palate ratings remain the same. You can certainly find a lot worse macro Pale/Premium Lagers, and I can dig the hops used in this, but Iíve had better. I was thinking of reducing the score a little more because they didnít go with Stella NoŽl, and they only put the regular Stella in a fancy bottle, but nah. Itís a 2.5.
Well, itís not bad, the colourís nice, the taste is a bit malty, and watery, but not too much, sometimes even pleasant, passable for a lager. It wasnít offensive at all, but I drank far better ones.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
500 ml can. Clear pale blonde color, medium fugaceous head. Slightly fruity and malty aroma. Weak flavor of fruits and malt. Very weak bitter finish. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, watery texture. Cheap and boring.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2005 I thought the bottle I has was skuny. It was a nice lighter color, I did enjoy that, but the taste left something to be desired. The taste was skuny and it was a llingering skunk. Not a fan at all, and in England it is like Bud or Miller, absolutly everywhere.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap @ the Northstar in Philly. Finally decided to try it after listening to all the hype. Poured the classic straw-yellow color with an average snow white head. Not much of an aroma to speak of here, just a slight tinge of malt. Easy on the palate at one degree above freezing, but let this beast warm up and youíre dealing with some pretty harsh metallic/pizza-doughy flavors as well as an unpleasant lingering aftertaste. I can think of several other beers that Iíd rather spend 30 bucks on for a case.

Good God! I canít believe I hadnít reviewed Stella Yet. Inundated with this beer everywhere you go. So called premium... but itís a skunky steely sharp and bubbly concoction. Must be an acquired taste.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2009 Bottled. Another mass produced lager. This one is malty but also sweet and really quite nasty. Favourite of those Englanders who like getting drunk quick - say no more!Score 1.1
Subsequent rating scored 2.5. Average becomes 1.8

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at P. F. Changs. Served in a nice looking Stella Artois glass. Pale golden/yellow color. The nose was weak but it could be due to the fact itís been heavily chilled. I believe I made out some hops and citrus in the aroma. Light bodied, heavily carbonated and quite mild on the flavors. Simple and unimpressive. This oneís only a notch above bud and friends.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Light gold, with a small head which fades quickly to a thin covering. Aroma dominated by a steely hop, without any nice malt to go with it. Flavour much the same, lacking in malt, but without enough in your face hops to make it stand out from its ilk.
Nice enough, better than megaswill, but not great.
