mmacleod75 (38), Ontario, Canada Oct 31, 2008 Poured from can. Nice golden color with good head that lasts. Nice flavor, not offensive. Very easy to drink. Good overall. demitriustown (689), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA Oct 29, 2008 1pt 6.4oz bottle: Aroma is somewhat of a skunky Saaz hop aroma, somewhat grainy, and grassy. Appearance is clear and golden with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is crisp and clean, nothing really offensive, lightly grainy, and a bit bready. Palate is got a light grain note and aftertaste is light and crisp. Overall, It’s not really bad, not stellar but not bad. Cheers! Irenfrea (10), , Argentina Oct 29, 2008 The everyday beer for a regular beer drinker. It has enough taste, body and flavour to be preferred over watery, cheap beers. sward84 (24), Burke, Virginia, USA Oct 28, 2008 Updated: Sep 3, 2009Eh.......not too impressed with this one...maybe even more so after InBev brought AB.....always thought it was kinda skunky....taste was ok...nothing special.....I’d drink it again....but would not go to the store and pick up a 6-pack....had better...had worse RickS95 (32), Evansville, Indiana, USA Oct 28, 2008 Had this out of a bottle at a restaurant. Hadn’t had one in years, and looked forward to trying it again.
Didn’t get a chance to pour it into a glass, so this review may not mean much. Smelled like a lot of other pilsners, nothing special, maybe a bit more hoppy that others.
Had a crisp, bitter mouthfeel, and about the same in the finish. Wasn’t a bad beer, just nothing to write home about, particular for a ’’premium’’ beer. terrybail (330), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2008 Bottle from the LCBO
Much better than i would have expected
but still a week pale lager. Good on a hot day ice cold
Beermaster99 (6), , Australia does not count Oct 28, 2008 A very nice beer. It is bitter and crisp and you can taste that it is quite strong. However - for some reason it is the only beer of which I can only drink 2-3 bottles until heart burn kicks in. tarheels86 (700), Washington DC, USA Oct 27, 2008 On tap at La Rez in Chapel Hill. Official Stella glass. Pours a pale yellow with high, champagne-like carbonation and a large, white head. Okay lacing. Nose is fresh grass, slight hops, grain. Watery body with a sour, metallic endnote. Aftertaste is dry. There is one overall taste and that is fresh straw. Pretty much the most expensive bad beer you can buy.
