2Roses (11), , Wisconsin, USA Aug 1, 2008 Just not a fan of these bitter beers like Stella and Becks. Very bitter finish Edgekrusher (83), , Alabama, USA Jul 31, 2008 Skunky pilsner taste. In 1926, Stella Artois was launched initially as a seasonal beer especially for the Christmas holiday market. Watered down taste. Not great. They support Cannes and Sundance music festivals. Crips, able to drink a lot. ChainGangGuy (2522), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jul 31, 2008 Appearance: Pours a plain-looking, clear, yellow body with a tall, foamy, white head.
Smell: Grainy pale malts blended with corn kernels and vague floral notes.
Taste: Again, it’s grainy pale maltiness with maize and a slight sweetness. Touch of floral hops but no real bitterness. Just a touch of sour yeastiness. Finishes squeaky clean.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Not quite reprehensible, but notable for it’s blandness and lack of character. jcdsmack (88), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jul 30, 2008 Whatever Stella is a good version of a macro produced lager beer clean finish nice hops crisp and refreshing I like to buy a sixer of Stella when I’m eating something spicy like chilli on a hot day, plus you can pound it and not get wiped out. joebudzjoe (222), Connecticut, USA Jul 26, 2008 Very unimpressive. Decent floral aroma with a soft cream head but palate is contrasting and made me want to sneeze after every sip. RaginCajun (284), Dallas, Texas, USA Jul 25, 2008 Cheap, sweet malts dominate the aroma. Clear golden color with small lingering head. One dimensional malts pound the nose and finish into nothingness. Quite a forgetable beer. This beer actually really sucks for having the fancy "import" status. Same league as Heiniken. blipp (1617), Newark, New Jersey, USA Jul 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours light gold with a fizzy white head. Aroma is grain, hay, and a bit of grass. Light bosy. Flavor is rather faint, with a bit of grain and trace hops. Dry finish. Not bad. dcswirl (13), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 22, 2008 Very skunky beer. Very popular for some reason. Strong hoppy tasting, with a very unpleasant aftertaste.
