1.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 22415brewery (220) - redmond, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2010
Powdered sugar in the nose and in the aftertaste. I waited a while before rating this beer because of it’s great following and oh so wonderfully surprising coupons. yup. coupons. Non-distinct hop aroma and malt aroma, a little warm-fart like...you know what I mean, not the acidic ripe smelling fart, but the sweat-pant induced silent but deadly smell. Carbonation is high, malt flavor is very low to non-existent, an odd sugar-like sweetness in the finish. Why oh why did I buy a six pack of this? Oh yeah... I had a coupon!
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Svesse (4215) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 16, 2010
(Draught at Huxleys, Heathrow Airport, London, 23 May 2010) Golden yellow colour with brief, white head. Malty, bready nose with cereal and hints of grass. Malty, grainy taste with bread, cereal, grass and a touch of citrus. Below medium body, some malt sweetness, low bitterness. Drinkable but more or less the measuring-rod for all boring euro lagers out there.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 thagr81_us (171) - Gaffney, South Carolina, USA - JUN 14, 2010
Served from tap into a Weizen glass. Pours a golden yellow with one finger white head. Maintained excellent lacing throughout. The aroma was comprised of wheat and citrus. The flavor was of citrus and slight malt. It was light on the palate with low carbonation. Overall this was a very refreshing brew. Not my favorite brew I’ve had, but definitely not the worst. This is the one I go with for a lighter brew when the other options are not good.
2.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Suneson (58) - Farmington, Minnesota, USA - JUN 9, 2010
A murky yellowish pour with a big foamy head. A very skunky beer. Served on tap at most bars and served at sports games. So I would much rather buy this than a mich light or Coors anyday.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 Balazs (562) - Budapest, HUNGARY - JUN 9, 2010
Tap @ Reading, UK (hotel). Pale yellow with white foam that lingers. Malts, yeast, light caramel and light hops. Light, watery body with high carbonation. Somewhat dry, bitter aftertaste. Crispy, refreshing, but nothing more. It’s ok.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 gyllenbock (1608) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 2, 2010
Bottle.
Pours a clear yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of some hops and bread. Average and quite boring lager flavor, some bitterness, some malt sweetness and boiled vegetables. Not much to say about this, a standard lager.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Botnik (142) - Carrollton, Texas, USA - MAY 31, 2010
11.2 oz bottle. Very pale with a fizzy white head. Nothing exciting, but it’s better than most American pale lagers.
