Budweiser’s European equivalent, although slight better tasting than the King of Beers. Very popular across the pond for many years and starting to increase rapidly in popularity here in the states, especially with Anheuser Busch acquiring the brand. Not bad for a commercial beer: golden color, slightly bitter taste for a lager. Nicknamed "wife beater" in the U.K. due to its relatively strong alcohol content for a lager.

The smells is nice. Skunky like a pilsner, has a hint of sunflower seeds. Little too oily, compared to other beers like pilsner urquiel.

A fine mixture of hops and wheat make this smooth lager a firm favourite. Easy to the palate with a clean crisp hoppy taste, this particular brew is a popular snifter in any UK establishment. Whilst pervaying the malty flavour of this fine lager the drinker is lulled into a "happy zone" with a warm glow that makes this beverage a welcome commercially avaible drink. After effects include violence and total memory loss that results in violence.

The beer poured an golden yellow with a soapy head. The smell is straw and wheat. The taste is flat and watered down. Not good at all.

Pours light golden. Nothing special. Much like cheap american lager. Have another? No.

Very smooth and refreshing. On the down side I find this beer to very filling.

Ugh, how plain. Macro beer in a green bottle - a poseur. No better on tap, except that it’s easier to avoid being light-struck. Large, thin head that disappears rapidly, leaving the clear straw-colored beer in the glass. Generic armoas and flavors of light malt, weak hops, and a hint of yeast (if you manage to get some that isn’t skunky). The palate is the same as Coke’s. Don’t buy it. Please.

Bottle, Victory Serices Club, London. Comes with dinner. Yellow, surprisingly flavourful. Not unpleasant. I managed to not drink this ubiquitous beer during a month stay in Belgium. How ironic to be saddled with it in London thanks to the global reach of InBev. Not a style of beer I have much time for. At least it is unobjectionable.
