UPDATED: OCT 9, 2010 On tap; OK, an average safe beer. I do like it better on tap as I would rate it lower in bottle. I used to like this when I started drinking beer but now do not enjoy it.

One of the beers that I won’t buy again. It’s barely drinkeable. When I’m realy thirsty, and there is nothing else around... maybe I’ll put it in my mouth again.

draft, pours light gold, thin white head. Skunky aroma with some hay. Thin adjunct and grassy flavors ending with a metalic taste. Eh.

For a pale lager, Stella Artois is average. It will beat out the terrible American macrobrews, but there just isn’t much here to judge.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a light golden color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma of grassy hops with an acrid almost meaty note. Taste is acrid grainy malts and grassy hops. Watery and thin. Poor beer.

Stella and I are friends. Not the hreatest ever, but it will beat out any of the macrobrews anyday.

Nice golden yellow color. Bright white head. Aroma of citrus light hop sweet and a hint of dirty socks. Light bodied with a sweet grain taste. Bitter finish. A crisp beer. Just because it comes from Belgium doesn’t mean it has to be good, and this is a perfect example. Although the flavor varies, it is about average for a mass produced beer.

For being Belgian I was disappointed. Usually I like anything from Belgium. But this beer didn’t smell or taste good to me. I’d drink it again if it were to be handed to me but I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink it. Not a whole lot to say about this one.
