500 ml can. Clear pale blonde color, medium fugaceous head. Slightly fruity and malty aroma. Weak flavor of fruits and malt. Very weak bitter finish. Light to medium body, lively carbonation, watery texture. Cheap and boring.

On draught at the Uva Cafe in Downtown Disney. This beer really did not impress me on any level. The first thing I noticed on the tap was that this was from Belgium so I guess I was expecting a Belgian Ale, but this is very obviously a Pils, and an uninspiring one at that. Pours an off-putting yellow with a thin white head. Light hops aroma. Bland flavor that did nothing for me. At least it wasn’t skunky.

Drunk at a Belgian musicfestival. Can’t say that i really like this pilsener. Belgians can make great ales but they shouldn’t brew pilseners.

Bottle pours light golden, medium white fizzly head, spotty lacing, with minor carbonation.   Aroma of malts, but mainly grass.   Flavor is crisp, easy, slightly grassy but without much grain.   Finishes grassy, but clean.   A definite summer beer.

On keg. Sampled with Finn at the Hole in The Wall, Waterloo. Bright straw yellow. Small white head. Some fruity notes in aroma and taste, but hardly nothing more than sweet sugar water. Frail bodied (18.09.2006).

Light crisp lager, faint citrus notes. Not much spicing to the yeast, so it doesn’t hold much belgian character, and lacks anything that gives it much character.

I realize this beer isn’t considered to be any great shakes in Belgium, and that it’s marketed in the US as a "premium" beer when it’s perhaps not, BUT I thought it was quite pleasant and drinkable. Very smooth, and not overly fizzy like an american standard. Not bitter at all. Nice.
