Bottle form Pick N Save. Here is a beer with an ego. Pours bright yellow with disappearing head. Hop nose up front, very mild malt taste. While refreshing, itís hype has more foam than itís actual head. Grolsch is similar and better and costs about a buck less a sixer!. Here, for that extra buck you get the paper collar around the bottle cap - a Roman Collar, if you will, for something less than priestly from Belgium. Belgium has some great beers - this is not one of them! Save money and opt for Grolsch or a good German lager. You want a lager from Belgium? Watch an old Audrey Hepburn movie! Prosit!

I love Stella Artois. Simple as that. The only thing wrong with it, is that it smells of Burps!!

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2003 Not that bad, but not my type of beer. Fairly bitter and odd aftertaste! Slightly refreshing though.

Fairly decent clean tasting beer. Wish I could find it a bit more often around here! Sadly canít. Has a bit of eau de skunk to the odour and flavour, but chilled down on a hot day it canít be beaten.

On tap @ the Northstar in Philly. Finally decided to try it after listening to all the hype. Poured the classic straw-yellow color with an average snow white head. Not much of an aroma to speak of here, just a slight tinge of malt. Easy on the palate at one degree above freezing, but let this beast warm up and youíre dealing with some pretty harsh metallic/pizza-doughy flavors as well as an unpleasant lingering aftertaste. I can think of several other beers that Iíd rather spend 30 bucks on for a case.

Had it on tap with dinner. Straw Yellow in color, thin head, and a bit of carbination. No real noticable aroma. First flavor was that of any other lager..nothing special. However, had a nice bitter finish that was surprising. Too expensive for what you get, and very over-hyped. Not a bad beer, but would not buy again.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very pale yellow in color, with a very thick snow white head, with decent lacing. A very faint smell of hops and a somewhat sweet smell. Mouthfeel was light, medium bodied, carbonation decent and very fizzy.
This beer was sampled after allmost a month at sea, where there was no beer available. So for quenching my thirst and a "COLD BEER" it served itís purpose. Overall it tastes like most of the "EURO" Lagers. Would i buy it upon my return to the states, probably not.

Drinkabily and refreshing.
The bitterness level is so palatable, and itís not too so fizzy.
Vague taste of malt.
