This is a good crisp lager with a nice munich style malt. Although it is a lager there appears to be a nice belgian yeast profile present to compliment the subtle bready malt. Carbonation is perfect and there is a slight earthy hop presence as well. This is a well made beer.

Tap at music festival. Nothing special. Crisp up front, but tasted a bit stale. Even from the tap it seemed flat (despite the head and noticeable carbonation). Decent enough for where I got it, but wonít be picking any up any time soon.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2014 Review: Can of Stella Artois Pilsner Beer 5.2%ABV Stella Artois is a nice clean and easy to drink beer, perfect to bring along for a party since its a beer that everyone can drink and enjoy. The appearance was perfectly clear of a nice yellow colour, with a good sized white head and some decent lacing. Itís certainly looks the part. The aroma was nice and sweet but faint, smelling of a malty and hoppy smell. Stella Artois had a nice crisp and refreshing taste to it which I found very easy to drink, was clean tasting with with no real offensive flavours. It is a very sweet grainy beer yet smooth enough to enjoy. A great session beer with your mates, light and very drinkable, an absolutely beautiful Belgian lager beer.

Off tap at a reputed bar in Pasadena, CA. A glorified Budweiser without the tailing hoppiness. Easy-drinking transitional beer that lacks much character. I was expecting more from this oldie-but-newbie import. But then again, this is a pils. Mild-mannered palate that changes very little from start to finish. Even tempered through and through. Good for a glass and then off the the ales...

It is very crisp. This reminds me of Czech lagers like Staropramen and Pilsner Urquell. It's drinkable, but stronger than most American lagers.

UPDATED: SEP 24, 2008 330mL Bottle. Strong Floral hop aroma. Poors a bright clear pale golden beer. Good size white head, as in the photo. Lingering hop bitterness to finish. Better then Heineken.

Overrated. Pours a typical yellow color for this type of beer. Has a foul aroma which is almost skunky. Has a medium sized head. Taste very bitter and the typical european style pale lager. Nothing special here really.

Stella Artois. This is what Heineken should be like. It pours out a clear yellow with a white head that settles and dissipates very quickly. It has a strong, very strong skunky aroma. Itís pretty intense. It has a slightly hoppy metallic flavor to it. It settles into a sweet undertone that the body carries somewhat well. This is a macro lager but itís definitely one of the better ones on the market. If you like this sort of beers and are at a basic market, this would be one of the better choices. Overall itís a decent beer that is marketed really well.
