Good beer for the money... at least here in Western Canada ... I moved up to here from the Eastern U.S. and never was willing to pay what was being charged for it in Pennsylvania. It seems to be a beer of choice here, cheap cheap and cheap again . reminds me of Heineken etcetra yet not as caustic.

Poured yellow with a foamy white head that stuck around like a freeloading guest. The head and nice lacing could not make up for the average flavor and awkwardly hoppy aftertaste.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2007 For a macrobrewery it’s ok, but there’s better macrobreweries. Pale beer, pours with a good head which dissipates almost immediately. Medium bitterness with malty flavour, lightly hopped finish. The finish is better than the initial flavour. Easily obtained almost anywhere. Definitely not something to go out of your way for.

This beer is heavily marketed and readily available in this area. This is a very clear yellow lager with a half inch of white head. Not particularly lacey for a Belgian but predictable for a light (underscore light). The taste has a bit of malt but more of a fast light bitter flavor that finishes quick. On tap or bottle this beer is best served cold. For those looking for a light lager and a new label try it out. This isn’t rocket science just a light beer that should appeal to those who don’t like Dark, Belgians, IPA’s well pretty much not many beers.

Ótima cerveja... Lembra cervejas brasileiras... Fraca, pouco aroma e com tonalidade clara -

Smells faintly of hops. Pours pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Light tasting malt with an even milder hop aftertaste. The hops don’t mask the malt sweetness very well. A decent refreshment that goes down well. A little lacking in the flavor department, but I have come to expect nothing more from a widely avaliable pale lager.

This has been fiercely slagged by a lot of reviewers, and not just on RB. One woman I met referred to it as "The European Budweiser." I have had Stella before, but to rate it I got a pint from the tap in a local bar (for $4.00--ouch). It came with a thin head that sank fairly fast. The body was a very clear gold. Aroma wasn’t bad, but there was little of it--quite neutral, I thought. The flavor was in keeping with the aroma: well balanced, I suppose, but nothing distinctive about it. Palate was medium-thin. I didn’t notice any nastiness in the tail. The kick was sneaky and more powerful than I expected, but that could have been the effect of the Duvel I drank just before I had this. Not bad, really, but not good in any very memorable way. I’d rate it about even with Heineken. It doesn’t deserve the "European Budweiser" tag and it would make a good session beer, but I would really rather have a Ballantine instead.

This stuff is nasty, i can say nothing good about it. I’ve never liked lager and this horrifying experience reminded me why
