2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
over-priced over-rated belgium import . . to buy one at a bar is fine, paying $30 for a case is ridiculous for this beer.

A wonderful beer that is pleasant and satisfying. It is tasty on its own or with a wedge of lemon.

What can you say. A good clear crisp refreshing beer that is great on a sunny day. This style doesn’t have the flavours I look for usually in an ale.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pale yellow color; sweetish, slightly funky nose; clean flavors but a light sweet finish. This is obviously not going to win any awards, but somehow it makes an enjoyable quaffer and I like it. Bonus points if, like me, you’re susceptible to slick advertising (see Dos Equis - stay thirsty my friends).

I guess this is Belgium’s brewing answer for the non-sophisticated beer drinker. A classic Euro Pale Lager. No discernible adjuncts here like with typical meh American standard lagers (Budweiser/Miller/Coors). It is hoppy, malty, and just a bit sweet. Smell is of citrusy hops. It is basically a Heineken with more refined taste and less sulfur tang from the bottle. Plenty of better Belgium offerings (Belgium = Disneyworld of Beer!) out there, but this certainly fits the bill and appeals to the majority of beer drinker’s sensibilities. Good, just not great.

Pours light golden. Nothing special. Much like cheap american lager. Have another? No.

On tap from the Black Badger. I have nothing against this beer. Its light and drinkable but def over-hyped. However it has stood the test of time well.

Liked it..the freshness and its cool factor was just right in the heat here in Australia. Better than most Aussie lagers. On tap almost anywhere in Melbourne.

In the home of dedicated drinkers, this is the UK's top-selling lager. High acclaim indeed for this Belgian brute. A superb lager, minus any of the typical European over-sweetness.

A beautifull color and wonderfull presentation on tap at the O’Carrolls downtown Halifax they know how to serve beer at this establishment . But this beer was not the beer of choice in Belgium .A bit of hops and skunky sour smell .Not a try again .
