UPDATED: NOV 27, 2007 For a macrobrewery itís ok, but thereís better macrobreweries. Pale beer, pours with a good head which dissipates almost immediately. Medium bitterness with malty flavour, lightly hopped finish. The finish is better than the initial flavour. Easily obtained almost anywhere. Definitely not something to go out of your way for.

Ótima cerveja... Lembra cervejas brasileiras... Fraca, pouco aroma e com tonalidade clara -

Avoid at all costs in bottle form. Only acceptable on tap. Not bad on tap. Good watered down pils/lager if you're into this type of beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells faintly of hops. Pours pale yellow with a white head that dissipates quickly. Light tasting malt with an even milder hop aftertaste. The hops donít mask the malt sweetness very well. A decent refreshment that goes down well. A little lacking in the flavor department, but I have come to expect nothing more from a widely avaliable pale lager.

This has been fiercely slagged by a lot of reviewers, and not just on RB. One woman I met referred to it as "The European Budweiser." I have had Stella before, but to rate it I got a pint from the tap in a local bar (for $4.00--ouch). It came with a thin head that sank fairly fast. The body was a very clear gold. Aroma wasnít bad, but there was little of it--quite neutral, I thought. The flavor was in keeping with the aroma: well balanced, I suppose, but nothing distinctive about it. Palate was medium-thin. I didnít notice any nastiness in the tail. The kick was sneaky and more powerful than I expected, but that could have been the effect of the Duvel I drank just before I had this. Not bad, really, but not good in any very memorable way. Iíd rate it about even with Heineken. It doesnít deserve the "European Budweiser" tag and it would make a good session beer, but I would really rather have a Ballantine instead.

This stuff is nasty, i can say nothing good about it. Iíve never liked lager and this horrifying experience reminded me why

Iím honestly not a big fan of this beer. Maybe Iím just past the whole pale lager thing but Stella certainly didnít wow me in any way.

33ml btl. I really like this beer, even though itís light. nice aroma with a bit of citrus, hops, and hay. nice small bubbles with a billowing, lasting head. slight lacing. this beer looks a lot better than a crap macro, despite itís lightness, and it smooth and pleasant going down with a bit of bitterness, and some dry citrus . i think this beer should be rated a bit better.
